look up rimguard. Its a bio-freindly product for liquid ballast for tractor tires. Many tractor owners needs extra weight for better traction pulling power like mine
. Not too long ago many farmers were using calcuium chloride (salt water) but it would eat the metal rims and require tubes and its a mess when leaking. it also kills the plants.
rimguard extracted the juice from beets and use that instead of calcuim chloride. Beet juice doesnt freeze in normal north american weather, doesnt harm the plants, doesnt eat metal.
So- in my book, beets doesnt belong on my table (I hate beets) but belongs in the tires.
