What's wrong with Eisenhower? He created the highway systems which keep the American drivers move around easier, he got the idea from Autobahn in Germany during the World War 2.

You are probably lucky that we didn't have Douglas MacArthur which he would be president in 50's.

He has a "Kraut" last name... right after WW2 when anti-German sentiments were still high.

Just pointing out the stupidity of slamming Obama for having a "raghead" name during the "War on Terrorism."

because Dwight Eisenhower is an European mix. That name isn't "American".

Ah, I got it. Okay, well, he was in US Army for many years, Supreme Commander of the European Theater, one of the few that has 5 stars on his shoulders and graduated from West Point. He served his country but Obama was never in the military. So, that's probably why Eisenhower were elected to be the President of the USA. Not a big deal about Eisenhower.

But according your logic, you don't want a President with a "raghead" name. Why would America would want a President with a "kraut" name after WW2?

Accomplishments and merits shouldn't matter if it's all about a person's name.

Ah, I got it. Okay, well, he was in US Army for many years, Supreme Commander of the European Theater, one of the few that has 5 stars on his shoulders, graduated from West Point and a veteran of World War 1.

He has served his country but Obama was never in the military, never serve for his country, didn't accomplish anything yet. So, that's probably why Eisenhower were elected to be the President of the USA. Not a big deal about Eisenhower.

Oi, you don't understand what has Eisenhower has done for the United States and her allies against Nazi Germany as well as he approved, the largest invasion that the world ever seen, Operation Overlord.

What does Obama do before become a president? Of course, a senator from Illinois. Before that? A professor at the university. Before that? He's just another plain lawyer from Harvard.

I don't see any accomplishment at the national level with Obama before he became a president. Maybe, people had no choice or sick of Republicans run a country for 8 years, or even McCain is too old to be president. That's probably why I don't know who the &*!@ is Obama until he was in the race with Hillary.

Eisenhower, regardless of its German name, did a lot of accomplishments from the alumni of West Point to supreme commander to president.
