I use Another IE Pop Up Killer. It’s not totally foolproof, but it’s pretty good and it’s free.

Don't use Google or anything. There's one but I forget its name. It's the only one I know that's safe. Most programs that you download that are pop-up blockers, are actually spyware that keeps track of everything you look at and send them to various companies. Eek!

If the Google bar is a spyware, then my Spybot will eat it. So, it is not eaten and I am guessing it isn't spyware either. I am happy with my Google bar with pop-up blocker. Netscape 7.1 also comes with a built-in pop-up blocker.

Sure. Mozilla is free, and it will block popups.

A friend of mine had an iMac with Internet Explorer. When he got a new iBook, he was disappointed that it only came with Safari.
