Actually seriously, this is a good thread to consider because we have the abilities to take everything for granted. That is bad I tell ya! On the other hand, no one really knows how bad this is...

wel in china, they are in process of cleansing the race, and modernising China as they are ashamed of being 50 years backward, now they are rocketing up to be biggest economic nation-state in the world which is not far off now. They arrest just about anybody in there for petty crimes like trying to excercise their own opinion on a matter can land them in serious trouble with the law. Stealing apples can result with death penalty - this is no joke. It really happens over there, i think this happens partly because they are trying to control the ever-rapid growing population and also due to how China operates under the Communist regime that has so successfully indoctrinated to put the government's opinion before there own. It is truely bizzare.
Now back to human hunting, well I think they are already doing that in China just in different names for different reasons like they trying to get rid of animals (lower ranking chinese) to make their country to be more proud of having "normal" to super chinese. yep i said that - superchinese, they are tall now becuase all the chickens they been eating is forced feed with hormones the hormones effects has thus passed on to human growth. I sometimes wonder if the Chinese government are trying to doctor up their race to get ready to attack the world.....

nuff rant, < this post is going to seriously paint a picture of me as a conspiracy theorist, well too bad- i said it- I doint trust China for they are already human hunters - in the name of Maoist Communism
 
I know where you're going with this question, and it all comes down to (creationists, leave this post!) evolution. We just developed as we did, have the ability to reason, more smarter (larger brains), and on top of the food chain. So the domino effect of industailization, over deforestation, pollution and so on is killing off other species who have no ability to fend for themselves. All in all, if we are to control our population, forced abstinence is not going to work as we are one horny species, sorry to say this, but we may be due another world war to bring our population down.
 
scbassist, you could be right earth's is needing a break.......and people on earth will say it's god' will or whatnot. It will be set to let rip.......like there will be entirely less room for anyting and anybody and being too crowded on this blue marble, the politics will be become the battle of wills which escalates, and lives will be changed drastically forever.

I'm not 'anti-human' or 'pro-animal'.

But when you really look at it... are we any better?
Unless you want to get into religion... who says we are better than animals, besides ourselves?

Don't you find it rather convenient that WE are the only ones who care about our own existence (because of the fact that we do exist?)

Isn't it rather convenient that WE are the species that has the power and conscious will to either destroy the Earth itself, or to save it?

Isn't it convenient that nobody can really come up with a purpose for us being here, without getting into higher powers, religion, or some kind of spirituality or sentimental feeling?

The real fact is, we exist because we are here, and we want to continue to exist because we are self aware, that is in our nature. But do people think it would actually be a detriment to the planet if we were wiped out?

I wonder.

Sad, I saw the original pictures of mother slaughted her toddler son at somewhere in poor country via email last year. I still have it in my file. They stopped mother was about to cook toddler. Her reason is starving!!! She has no foods. It sick in my pain to see the picture of beheaded toddler and cut his front chest open.


That's why some humans don't like humans; some humans are pretended that they are not humans; some humans dresssed themselves as furry being; some humans are complaining about why not we, humans, can just eat other humans; etc etc.

Anti humanity sounds like sociopathy, devoid of all human feelings, not caring for consequences etc.

Having an opinion about how human beings do bad stuff for the world is just an opinion and example of having a feeling of the consequences of some actions. It is a depressing thought, and then again, it is probably disturbing to think peeps would want to do population control through drastic means.

I would say that human beings are big consumers of resources on this planet, and we are coming of age now though.. gaining new understanding of what effects our actions have on the planet. Some of us probably need to reeducate ourselves in living with nature better, so it can sustain us more efficiently in the long run.

With the superiority some humans feel about their position on the top of the food chain, how would they feel if we suddenly found we were not alone in the universe? :)

However, a few of new and current posts had very good thoughts. Great posts, you guys. :)

I just disagreed with this idea (that question in #42) and I believe there is an another way to sovle a problem rather than just self-extinction. I personally sick of some anti-human people complained how humans are horrible and bah bah. It leave me to think many things as "what ifs"... and it will not make a sovle anything.

I gotta go now.

People know quite well. They just choose to ignore it because they don't like to look at anything unpleasant, especially anything that reflects on themselves.

I tried so hard to be nice to humans even they are my enemies..

ugh with their stupid size of pea brain of no education to know what going on in this world.. (this is my point of view) I know EVERYONE have different views..

ALL I can say is... everyone get along anyway because We are stuck in ONE world.. it would be nice to have more than one world to seperate humans with different thoughts..

If you dont like ppl, dont hurt them.. just leave them alone then u'll be in peace.. and might get respect back from ur friends or so..

believe it or not.. I'm anti-humans.. But Yes I still have friends and else.. ( dont want to go on with personal experiences.. I have my reasons) Guess what? my friends respect me and find my opinions are very interesting...
 
I remember that story that Reba mentioned from high school.

One thing humans can do that other animals can't is discover threats like an asteroid on its way to hit Earth. If we saw one early enough when it's still far enough from impact for a little push out there to greatly change the path by the time it reaches our planet's orbit, we have a chance to save the world. The dinosaurs couldn't, so they went byebye.
