Hey! So I did get that spiral put in my cartilage, and I love it! It's not too bad with the hearing aid. The bottom hole is rejecting a bit from falling into the door/an unfortunate incident where my tuba hit the piercing hit the hearing aid hit my head. :P
Anyway, I'm enamored with the way a Tragus piercing looks. (that little nun of skin that juts out in front of your ear canal. Of course, the issue? I wear ear molds billet for my phonak savias btes.
The only thing I can think of to do is to wear a Labret backing for it (the Labret is actually for a lip piercing, but it's flat so your teeth don't get messed up). I want a hoop, but I think id probably just have to get a stud.

What do we think? Ideas? Experience?

I was gonna get this piercing as well and was told I shouldn't by a piercing artist

yes because of the earmold would get in the way ..they said maybe if i got a new mold taken with the piercing in but I didn't wanna pay to get a new earmold and my audi didn't think the mold would work as well/have a good seal so I didn't get it done

Interesting...

I never did post a pic of my other piercing. I really want to get it done, and I'm almost tempted to get it done then just deal with it. I figure I can get away without the h aid over break, but then I'm going to have to figure it out. Idk. Really tempted to just go and get it done :P

Depending on your ear mould I should imagine it would be very difficult to get it in with a tragus piercing, even with a labret. Also an ear mould which does not fit properly because something is in the way is almost certain to cause feedback. If you go ahead and get it done you may be creating problems for yourself. The only way around this may be to get the piercing done very near the edge of the tragus area.

Sadly I am one of those people who just cant get piercing's My body reject's them all no matter what material I use. I had a bad infection once when I had the top of my ear pierced and the damn thing swelled up twice the size of my normal ear. Then my nipple piercing rejected completely after about 3 months of having it. That was my last and final piercing. I had to ask my surgeon when I had my implant on the chances of my body rejecting the internal piece. So far so good no real issues with it other than some mild dryness where the internal piece rest's on the outside of my scalp.

I know this might sound like a strange idea .... but what about piercing the MOULD instead of your ear ?? That way you have the "look" of the piercing there ... but without the issues

just and idea

I saw a photo once of someone who had the front top of their ear pierced and were wearing an earring which enclosed the tubing on their hearing aid!

Just make sure that you can later remove whatever piercing you get.

When I was a teenager, I decided to get a bunch of funky piercings in my ears. The metal of my piercings was shaped while piercing my ear. A few years later, I needed surgery and had to remove all my piercings before the surgery. I could not remove even ONE! Not even the doctor could do it (without causing too much pain). I actually had to wait to be put out for the surgeon to remove them. How he did this? I have no idea. But, I stopped all body piercing after that.
