Mm, not sure where shall I put this thread in a right forum.
I went to the deaf club hosted halloween party at the church, the invitation card said we can dress up for it, and I dressed up fully in costume of grim reaper. I got in and saw some people in costumes but not quiet scary like me. The woman, who hosted it, got really freaked and kicked me out immediately. She kept saying that was very wrongful, totally against the church, blah blah. I didn't dress up on purpose, I was only 10 or 11 years old and I was doing this for halloween traditional thing. It was suppose to be fun and scary thing, you know. I was thinking, why did she hosted halloween even she knew it was traditional thing for people to dress up as scary or devil.
I thought she should have not done that. If it's not hosted under church then it should be ok for people to wear whatever they like to or should not mention to dress up costumes on the invitation. I'm not a churchgoer, this church I went for deaf club, also isn't my religion.
Do you think this was wrong thing for church that permitted to host an halloween party and forbids people dress up something that's against their belief?
