For those of you that use Android OS, what launcher are you using and would you recommend it? Why?

The top three I know of are GoLauncher, LauncherPro, and ADW.Launcher.

For Gingerbread (ver 2.3.x), LauncherPro is the 'smoothest' and quickest, hands down no contest. ADW comes a close second, unless that developer updated their GB code, last I used it; it has a non-smooth feeling using the functionality. Theming is nonexistant. The dev no longer updates it, so it might not be worth the $ to update to the pro version unless you find the apk for cracking the license.

GoLauncher has the most extra options and themes. I know the GoKeyboard adds annoying ads in the notification bar, but I'm not sure if the launcher does it.

ADW is probably the best for basic operation and functionality, it's the default launcher of CyanogenMod.

There were a couple more, one called HeLauncher that used to provide a HTC-sense like rosie launcher, but this may be abandonware now.

For ICS and Jellybean (4.0,x-4.1.x) NovaLauncher is on par with Apex Launcher, they are competitors. Their functionality basically copies off the other from my opinion.

CM9-CM10 uses their own launcher, which is Trebuchet and is a simplified solid launcher. It doesn't incorporate themes.

I used LauncherPro on GB, and Trebuchet for ICS. Honeycomb, the stock was okay enough.

Android 4.1 Jelly Bean is Fast & Smooth over my old Android 2.2 froyo (HTC EVO 4G)

Zeam is a really nice "streamlined" launcher. I used it for some time with gingerbread on my old phone., but have not tried it with my current phone running ICS.

I've tried GoLauncher once, but uninstalled it within a day after it was "too much" for me. I like it simple and fast, nothing fancy. :(
