America's unsafest cities

I have a problem with that list.

I'm moving to columbus, Ohio in 1-1/2 months and the majority of Columbus is more than fine----but there are some REALLY bad places. Cincinatti is AWFUL, i mean I would never go there alone (luckily it's 5 hours from me, currently) and Toledo really isn't too bad either. I never hear of anything happening in Toledo. I wonder what they mean by crimes, like are they counting petty shit? Because I can't believe Miami, NYC, LA and DC aren't on there.... that doesn't sound right to me.

Yep, I already know that St. Louis is #1 highest crime. It depends where, what area that are dangerous though. :)

RI is not listed! Wee!!!

That's because there is only 4 people in the whole state

Am not surprise to see Miami, Fl on the list. I am about 4 hours north from Miami anyways lol. I already know Miami is one of highest crime area.

WHOO HOOO!!!! NYC is on top 2nd America's safest cities!!! I'm so proud to be a New Yorker! Honestly, I do feel safe hanging out in the city on my own, unless I know which areas I shouldn't go near. NYC ROCKS!!!

Surprised that DC is listed as one of America's unsafest cities. I live here since 1996 and nothing has happened to me or my friends. In early 1990s, DC was known as Murder Capital. Now, THANKS to Mayor Williams, most neighborhoods have been gentrified and are safe enough to walk around. There are certain neighborhoods I wouldn't go to.

Congratulations, NYC! I have visited NYC many times. It has changed so much since my first visit in 1982. I almost got mugged once, but that didn't stop me from visiting there again and again.
