CAIRO, Egypt - An American thought to be an al-Qaida activist appeared in a videotape with the terror group's deputy leader Saturday and called on his countrymen to convert to Islam and for U.S. soldiers to switch sides in the
Iraq and Afghan wars.

The 48-minute video, posted on an Islamic militant Web site, had footage of al-Qaida's No. 2 leader, Ayman al-Zawahri, and of Adam Yehiye Gadahn, a 28-year-old American who the
FBI believes attended al-Qaida training camps in Pakistan and served as an al-Qaida translator.

It was the second time Gadahn appeared in the same video with al-Zawahri. In a July 7 video marking the one-year anniversary of the terror attack on London commuters, Gadahn appeared briefly, saying no Muslim should "shed tears" for Westerners killed by al-Qaida attacks.

But Saturday's video — and the length of Gadahn's speech — suggested al-Qaida has found in him someone it believes can communicate effectively with Americans.

Appearing days before the fifth anniversary of the Sept. 11 terror attacks on the U.S., Gadahn spoke for nearly the entire video, wearing a white robe and a white turban, sitting in front of a desk with a computer and Islamic religious books in a room with a white wall.

The video included no direct threats of terror attacks.

Gadahn delivered a lecture on Islam and the "errors" in Christianity and Judaism. He also said the United States is losing the wars in Iraq and
Afghanistan and told U.S. soldiers they are fighting
President Bush's "crusades."

"Instead of killing yourself for Bush ... why not surrender to the truth (of Islam), escape from the unbelieving army and join the winning side. Time is running out so make the right choice before it's too late," he said.

Al-Zawahri gave only a brief introduction to the video, calling on Americans to convert to Islam.

WHY DIDNT THE FBI DO THEIR JOB AND ARREST HIM???!!
I Think The Director of the FBI Robert S. Mueller should resign!Hes No differant than Clintons FBI guys when they didnt do much.Face it the FBI is a very liberal law enfocement agency and it needs a shake up by the bush adminstration. When was the last time the FBI was effective? When Reagan appointed william sessions.William Sessions made these guys work and work hard.William Sessions Cracked down on the Mafia,,Buy getting John Gotti thrown in prison.
Now the FBI cant even crack down on terrorist sleeper cells. Why cant the FBI be just as good like (Showtimes Sleeper cell)? At Least they stopped a terror attack from exploding at dodger stadium.Yoo hoo Mr Bush Why not Fire Mr Robert S. Mueller and rehire William Sessions at least agents will hate his ass and make em start busting al queda sleeper cells just like they busted the members of the mafia 10 years ago.

Personally, I think Adam Gadahan aka " Azzam The American " is a very sick person. It was very disturbing to watch his speech with subtitles included. I have been told he is much worse than John Lindh Walker. I think Azzam should be shot to death for aiding and abetting the Al Qaeda.

I like Memritv because they monitor the Middle East situation and you can go there because it is always updated frequently so there is always some new video clip going on. Bookmark that website and check there from time to time to see what's up in the Middle East.

I know !!!!! I went What is this ? You can click on subjects in the menu to the left of that website and watch all the video clips on there. Some of them are unbelieveable and anothers I can believe that. Azzam really made me sick to my stomach just watching and listening to what he had to say made me want to puke my guts out. I mean, this is sicker than sick. I wish I could kick the shit out of him !!!!! He completely forgot on Sept. 11th 3,000 innocent American lives plus 50,000 people died in the twin towers probably alittle more than that plus affected multidute of families as well as affected the whole country and the world was affected too. I feel bad for his parents having to endure this and this is a very brainwashed guy right there. I can't believe it, man !!!!!

Also on the MEMRI website there you can type in whatever you want and click the search button then the video results will come up and you can watch the video clips some of them are a real eye opener. :eek3:

I hope that Osama Bin Laden will be caught this year or maybe early next year. If you press on " Previous " you will see back issues of different video clips.

Buckdodgers, CIA people ought to be Fired
because CIA is responsible for anything outside
of USA. FBI is responsible within USA only.

I have to be blunt that I think CIA did a LOUSY job.

yeah me to, he's still out there somewhere & we should be trying to capture him & stop the BS in Iraq.

I hope that Osama Bin Laden will be caught this year or maybe early next year. If you press on " Previous " you will see back issues of different video clips.

No, I hope he get caught tomorrow the sooner the better

Hmmmm, funny this is being mentioned now but on the news earlier tonight there was a statement that Osama may be dead now due to some-disease-I-have-forgotten-the-name-of-now.

Hi, I am at my mom's and I noticed this on the internet news. I have not had a chance to watch the t.v. news but I do know for sure that right after 9/11/01 the CIA released an intelligence profile and it mentioned that Osama Bin Laden has to take kidney dialysis so I don't know what is going on and I was told French intelligence broke the news that Osama was dead then I went huh ? knowing French intelligence services usually are not that too great and here is what Yahoo news front page is saying ..... I find it very strange that the Saudi secret intelligence service does not know if OBL is dead or alive because the Saudi secret police have superb world class intellignece gathering services. They always know when somebody is going to enter or leave a country even before the person knows he/she is going to enter or leave a country and they are always 3 or 4 steps, sometimes even 10 or 20 steps ahead of the intelligence game.

West, Saudi Arabia unable to confirm bin Laden death

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Saudi Arabia said on Sunday it had no evidence Osama bin Laden was dead, shedding further doubt on a secret document leaked in France that said Saudi secret services believed he died last month.

French Foreign Minister Philippe Douste-Blazy said that as far as he knew the Saudi-born al Qaeda leader was still alive.

"To my knowledge Osama bin Laden is not dead," he said on LCI Television. But he added he had not seen a French secret service report, printed by a newspaper, which said Saudi Arabia was convinced bin Laden died of typhoid in Pakistan last month.

France, the United States and Britain all said earlier they were unable to confirm the report in French regional daily L'Est Republicain, which quoted the DGSE foreign intelligence service.

Time magazine separately posted an article on its Web site quoting an unidentified Saudi source as saying bin Laden was stricken with a water-borne disease and may already be dead.

The Saudi Embassy in Washington issued a statement saying: "The kingdom of Saudi Arabia has no evidence to support recent media reports that Osama bin Laden is dead. Information that has been reported otherwise is purely speculative and cannot be independently verified."

French President Jacques Chirac told reporters bin Laden's death "has not been confirmed in any way whatsoever and so I have no comment to make" and that he was surprised a confidential note had been published. France has launched an investigation into the leak.

"No comment, no knowledge," said U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice when asked about the French article by reporters in New York.

British Prime Minister Tony Blair, asked in a BBC interview if he could shed light on the report, said: "No, I can't. I haven't heard anything that indicates that might be the case."

A U.S. intelligence source said Washington, which wants to capture bin Laden, had no evidence the report was any more credible than earlier rumours of his death.

"We've heard these things before and have no reason to think this is any different," said the U.S. intelligence official, who asked not to be named.

TYPHOID

L'Est Republicain, published in Nancy, printed what it said was a copy of the DGSE report, dated September 21, and said it was passed to Chirac and Prime Minister Dominique de Villepin the same day.

"According to a usually reliable source, the Saudi services are now convinced that Osama bin Laden is dead," it read.

"The information gathered by the Saudis indicates that the head of al Qaeda fell victim, while he was in Pakistan on August 23, 2006 to a very serious case of typhoid that led to a partial paralysis of his internal organs."

Bin Laden was based in Afghanistan until its Taliban government was overthrown by U.S.-backed forces in 2001 after al Qaeda's September 11 attacks on the United States.

Since then, U.S. and Pakistani officials have said they believe he is hiding somewhere on the Afghanistan-Pakistan border.

Bin Laden is rumoured to have been suffering from kidney ailments and receiving dialysis treatment. His last videotaped message was released in late 2004 but several low-quality audio tapes have been released this year.

Time magazine said its source claimed Saudi officials have received a number of reports in recent weeks that bin Laden had been struck by a water-borne illness and was likely to be dead but it had no solid proof.

There was scepticism about whether Riyadh was well-placed to be the first to pick up on such a development.

"If anyone was in the picture, I doubt it would be Saudi intelligence," a Western diplomat in Riyadh said. "Even if Saudi Arabia had information, they'd pass it on to the United States, not France. It doesn't ring true."
