overkill
Sharpton made sure he got the kind of exposure needed. He got it . . . and that's civil rights?
What???
You don't remember the Tawana Brawley and Duke "rape" hoaxes? What???

If the people protesting the cop shooting want credibility for their cause, the last person they should embrace is Al Sharpton.
Politics. Don't be so shocked . . . OMG . . . you've been had, too?!?!?! And I thought you were intelligent. *sigh*
Sharpton is not protesting out of courage for someone's rights; he's doing it for his own aggrandizement.Yes, I remember them. And exactly what does that have to do with this man who was shot 50 times?

If the people protesting the shooting want to be taken seriously, they need to steer clear of Sharpton. Sharpton's involvement taints the protest.
An unarmed man exiting a building "a Queens nightclub suspected of narcotics, prostitution and weapons violations" and said that he was going to get a gun.
You'll discount that. I'll discount that.
It's politics, darlin'. Don't be so surprised.
Sharpton in the equation = Wikiedpia for Jillio
Well, the thread title and story headline are about Sharpton, so that's to whom I'm referring. It's a shame that the major focus is on Sharpton, but that's what happens when he gets involved.I'd say they are being taken pretty seriously. I personally can't determine Sharpton's motives. But you might want to keep in mind, he is not the one that wrote the headline or the story. But it certainly would appear that he has some members of AD concentrating on his involvement rather than the issue at hand....which is an unarmed dead man with 50 bullet holes.
