Airplane Crash today and is Missing

I don't think this is terrorist related and likely just a really terrible accident. If they eventually find the plane, and discover that it was not mechanically up for use, there's going to be a lot of heads rolling and lawsuits to follow....

What kind of terrorist would blow up a plane in the middle of nowhere?
No publicity in that.

That's puzzling, too. If it was terrorists it seems we would have heard some group taking credit by now.

There's always the off chance that one of the pilots went nuts and suicidal; it's happened before.

There is always the chance that terrorists were behind it but it went off at the wrong time so they can't brag about what else happened because of it. But . . . then again didn't they conclude that the one that went down years ago in Lockerbie, Scotland was supposed to go off over water to make it harder to find and it went off too soon instead?

Yes, there is that possibility.

Lots of scenarios possible.

china news got more pictures but they are still unsure what happened. I cant read china news language. so i just look through the pictures. :(

Yeah if that kind have taken credit, there would be news, but so far there has been nothing but thin hope of any discovery of the wreckage. :|

The debris was not from the plane , someone said if the plane broke apart in the air there would had been no time to to send a distress call.

Last night the news showed what appeared to be a door. It looked like a door. Now they cannot locate the supposed door that was in the pic. Then another piece of debris tuned out to be a moss covered cable spool or something. And,yes, I agree that that if the plane broke apart in the air there wouldn't be time to issue a Pan-pan or Mayday call. That's what so puzzling about this. No distress call. Usually if a bomb goes off, debris would be everywhere, but they can't find any.

the oil slick was from boat..i just seen news it showed what could been door and as you say lost it....I think should use all countries that can help as these planes used everywhere.international tragedy.

SECRETY needs be lot better and same all over the world...I happy to wait hours at airport for safety

A couple of problems with that theory.

1. The ground lost radar contact with the plane. It would be very hard to do that with a large commercial plane.

2. It would need a large, clear landing field that no one has detected.

Nothing is impossible but that does seem improbable.

there is a huge gap of radar coverage in that very large area because it's a third world country out there. only military was able to detect it prior to disappearance. the radar indicated that it was turning back and that's it. the blip was shortly gone.

I'm not surprised. these countries always dump stuff in ocean.

They didn't get that debris out of the water, they took note of the location and flew back to land, due to that the darkness is about to fall but they never located it? Its a little disappointing however the news said that that kind of debris was disregarded as it not aircraft debris :|

Two passengers who boarded MH370 with stolen passports are believed to be from the Middle East after the tickets were bought by an Iranian. Iranian want to purchased passports. Why?

Reports say that the FBI are targeting for a middle man who handled this situation with these stolen passports, so they are looking for him, and question..

If it was a terrorist attack wouldn't someone come forward to claim it by now?

It is so so so sad. I feel horrible for everyone involved. I'm following the story but it keeps making me cry. I hate to see people hurting so badly.

Terrorist attack was my very first thought. I hope I am wrong, but it does not look good.

I just read the article from MSN news that they listed possible incident at this link: A Puzzle With No Pieces: What Happened to Malaysia Plane? - NBC News

Terrorism is much more unlikely because if they blow up mid-air and we'd see debris all over places. It's more likely mechanical malfunction - just like one plane that flew over Atlantic ocean and disappeared and they found it few months later with fuselage intact.
