Well, that is a start, and certainly a better plan than the "run and hide in the library" one.

there's certainly no "run and hide in the library" at all. all classrooms are equipped with secured locks in case of emergency lockdown. many schools have telephones in each classroom. PA system was preprogrammed with announcements. auto-notification system is set up to notify parents and students for any emergency broadcasts. police departments have already been familiarized with the school layouts for speedy response. and bunch more.

Whoever wrote the article or the maybe the company they work for said it , I don't think the FBI said it.

The author of the article in the link says that. I guess that's his/her stupid recommendation.
 
All 10 of the cities on the list have good areas and bad areas and I'd be willing to bet that most of the homicides happen in the bad areas of the city. As for Oakland CA I would be willing to bet that most of the murders happen in the areas of West Oakland and East Oakland and very few are going to occur in the Oakland hills areas, such as: Claremont and Peidmont areas. East Oakland has been bad for years, in 1981, I went with a friend to fix an oven at a KFC and it was bulletproof inside the restaurant and the owner told me, "all the fast food restaurants on 98th ave were bulletproof. If traveling to any of the 10 cities on the list do a search of the good and bad areas before going and just avoid the bad areas.

You know, I would much rather there be a "teacher' militia, and all the liberal progressive complaints (at how stupid and ignorant it is to have a teacher militia) than another school shooting where 20 + elementary students were killed because no one could stop a crazy gun man.

maybe they should have hurled insults at the gun man? maybe that would have stopped him?
