yike. quite stressful and disconcerting... but as always - you keep your head up high and there's always a solution for any problem.

Inspired & motivated! I am ready to get accomplished!

Would it be ideal to try to play with cats first so that you can figure whether cat is right handed or left handed before starting any ASL programs? Maybe it would help cats bite less often if using their dominant paws.

Sounds like you have some experimenting to do! :)

Was able to reschedule my ear wax removal appt to this Friday. Hope I don't go crazy before then (due to my hearing difficulties). Especially hope I don't get any important calls (eg: for jobs) before then or if I my neckloop will suffice.

I can hear! I can hear! It's a miracle.

Alright, maybe not a miracle, but it's so nice to be able to hear again (with my HAs) now that the wax was removed. I go back in 4 months since 6 months apparently is too long.

just saw this from my feed -
New Jersey Office of Emergency Management

We wanted to share this video link with you. Annmarie Buraczeski represents the New Jersey Association of the Deaf, and is a Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) member in Ocean City. In this video, she shares her personal experience with Superstorm Sandy and talks about what steps to take in preparation for a storm. It's closed captioned and acccessible to those who don't use ASL.

Annmarie has been actively recruiting members of NJ's Deaf/HH Community into the CERT Program. Ocean City, Burlington County and Monroe Twp. (Gloucester County) have conducted integrated regional CERT Classes, with communications accessibility sponsored by the NJOEM. A salute also goes out to the ASL interpreters who join in the partnership to help make it all happen.
