I will have surgery to remove CI from my head on May 24, 2017, so it had to change twice - May 22 and June 5.

I'm currently nervous about it. :(

Send my prayers for your recovery and success to remove with no harm. :)

That would be so cool. I occasionally see the 3-wheeled cycles and they're usually all decked out nice.

Hi ADers, I'm out of hospital and my ear is very, very painful right now - it is awful. They took whole CI, including all of electrode array out in 95 minutes surgery, so electrode array part was extremely difficult to get out.

Ear surgery one of worst for me due to pain, continuous tinnitus, dizzy and awful balance. They told me that bandage with ear shield must be stay on for 3 days.

No shampoo for 7 days, no shower toward to my ear for 3 weeks until I see my ENT specialist and any protective must be worn on ear before I go to shower. Do you have any suggestion to find ear shield that prevent shower got wetting on my ear?

One thing to do is get a cotton ball and cover it with vaseline and put that gently in you ear and make sure it covers the opening completely to keep any water that might get near there out. Then where a shower cap over it.

3 days with that shield? Ugh. I had to wear mine 2 days. Does it have a velcro strap? If so, if it's too tight you can loosen it a bit, but not too much because it is providing pressure on the surgery site which is important to keep the swelling down and to aid healing. I think the strap on the forehead was worse than the cup over the ear.

Hope you feel better soon.

I removed a gas tank today with one of my junkers here. It is full, about ten gallons.
Now what? lol

Yes, I have one with velcro straps and my family helped to loosen slightly because it was too tight. When I received CI in 1996 and there was no ear shield so I had to wear bandage for 2 days, including overnight at hospital and one day at home.

I found that pain is much worse in removal of CI than insert CI in head.

Thank you for big help and I'm going to try your suggestion.

Foxrac, I hope you feel better quick!

Thank you very much and I enjoy to played with our cats at home after I was unable to get in bed or using my iPhone or computer due to full tummy and bad dizzy.

I have similar things go on here in what I call my junkyard. Am not sure that this is an EPA approved method but it works. Put it in a deep tote with the lid off or turned sideways let evaporate off. Put some in a labeled container bad gas with a skull and crossbones(I like drawing those with the sharpie). Use for parts washing with rubber gloves. Saying this for others. I know you know. Let parts wash mess evap off as well.
Up here the benzene is not stripped from the fuel at the refinery it's important to breathe as few fumes as possible. Benzene has had its ppm changed as it is one of the oldest known carcinogens and the effects have been observed longer.

That's more or less what I did after siphoning out all the gas inside and putting it into a friend's car. She will have someone pick up the three gas tanks I have in the back and use them for her "art" project. I made sure they are safe, never fear.

I think they are don'e working outside the house. They rebuilt the deck, stained it, replaced the back door, pressure washed the house, painted the trim, and painted the shed. Just in time for the next renter to move in...

Packing up my stuff as well. Getting rid of a lot of the larger and old furniture. Moving to an apartment and want a bit of a fresh start.
