I am back from FL last week. My mother is OK for now. I will fly back to FL sometime this spring. My mother will have her cataracts removed.

The weather was crazy down there. Unlike in the past. My parents' Christmas and Spindle Palm trees are brown because they can't tolerate cold weather. They will die if the weather doesn't get warmer. Poor trees!!!

I have decided to go back to school, to finish my education. The classes will start next week. I will be busy by then...

I hope everyone is well! I miss you all!!!

Seems our hot air popcorn popper burned out. Daughter is in a real snit and slamming things around. Hubby was always trying to use too much and I think it was him as it worked the last time I used it. I don't even like popcorn, but it's a great snack for the kids.

Do it like I do. Pop the pop corn on the stove.

Takes a little more work and patience.

Gotta hold the lid and shake the pot at the same time.

Used to do it that way, but then you have to use a little oil and I was going for the fat free. Also, I wouldn't trust hubby and kids to do it without starting a fire.

Will buy a new hot air popper when we can.

Baking soda works wonders. My older daughter insisted once on making a Chinese dinner by herself.

Sure enough flames were shooting up the wall. I grabbed baking soda and threw it and it put it out immediately.

We have great neighbors..they saw our door open at 2PM and called the cops because they knew both of us werent home. Got our house checked out and then our neighbor locked our door for us after the cops left.

4am. Wide awake! Wind blew the door wide open!(son did not close it all the way, much less locked it!) Yup, When you have hearing kids somehow the deaf mom hears the door swinging and banging,meanwhile the kids become deaf while slumbering.
