thanks. I can vouch for what you said about toshiba's reliability. my first laptop was Toshiba Satellite Pro - the only multimedia laptop equipped with CD-ROM in the market at that time. It was still solid until I threw it away for a newer computer. It lasted pretty long though - over 7 years.

Good to know. I got it last thanksgiving. $320. Can't complain.
