A sad but true story

Yes, it is sad enough that it happens in the Middle East.

Now, it is worse because they are bringing that culture to the West.

This killing happened in London, England.
Yeah, i realize that but since they are Muslims, they will do it anywhere,
right? If the Muslims do that right here in United States, the Police
will arrest them for that, of course, they cant get away with that here,
geez.
Like SG says...they should do their insane ways in their own country but
it is so barbaric to do that to their own children that they should outlaw
that in their own country, crikey!

*nodding*, Muslims must have known that European and US law are different as Islamic law since they choose to live in Europe or America. If they don´t agree with their law then move to live in Islamic countries. He choose to disobey British law, then is his deserve to be punishment to life sentence.

My gosh....:madfawk: to the father! If the girl was a boy instead, would it be the same thing or can boys in this religion do whatever they want?

Toronto - Students at Applewood Heights Secondary School in Mississauga are sharing their feelings and posting tributes on Facebook following the death of one of their classmates.

Aqsa Parvez, a 16-year-old Mississauga girl who was attacked by her father, has died from her injuries.

Her father is now charged with murder.

School officials announced Parvez's death to students at Applewood Heights Secondary School this morning...

Police have said that a dispute over Western culture may be behind the fatal attack.

Classmates at the school said the Grade 11 student lived in fear of her father, who was charged with attempted murder Monday.

Some of the teen's friends told Global News there were warning signs she had a troubled life at home.

They said she often argued with him about the hijab and her desire to follow Western fashion trends.

Other peers told the Toronto Star the girl used to leave home in traditional dress and then change as soon as she arrived at school...

They claim she often cried about her fear of going home and even looked into staying at shelters...

Peel Regional Police have charged Muhammad Parvez, 57, with murder - a specific degree will be determined later...

On Monday, Peel police received a 911 call just before 8 a.m. from a man claiming to have killed his daughter. The 57-year-old father will make a court appearance today.

I am thankful that as many things as Ive done that I live in society that wont axe me off for stumbling in making the right choices. I have never heard of Christian honor killings. I thought this was more into the Middle Easter Cultures, not just the Kurdish group but many extremist Muslim cultures.

I dont understand why or how you could even consider killing your own child just because they have become sexually active. In UK terms she is an adult at 17 - she had every legal right to make that choice.

I believe they don't understand the way they do these to their children. Fathers who killed their kids are wrong, and it is really sad to see these honour killings - just for these people who is in the mood for dating or whatever that are relevant to. For the father who killed her daughter in england, earlier this year - GO and ROT in HELL.

All the more reason to round up these Muslim loonies and deport them back to the Middle East. Civilized society shouldn't have to tolerate the kind of crap that they bring with them everywhere they go. They will never accept the fact that religion and government are two separate entities. So sad......

Me and my pastor had a discussion about this a while back and we both agreed that as parents we would never toss our children aside just because they may make choices that we dont neccessarily agree with. We wouldn't disown them and walk away or kill them. And if Muslims worship the same God that Christians do, then why isnt he more forgiving and why aren't Muslims more reflective of that forgiving God in their actions and behaviors toward their children. This makes me believe that they worship a God that causes them to live in fear and shame of stumbling along the road of life especially when culture, government, and religion all collide.

If my DD decided to do things that I dont agree with culturally I would probably try to talk her out of it at first as a parent but if she still decided thats what she wanted to do, then I would try to teach her to at least how to do it responsibly. (But there are certain things I would NOT allow her to do such as drugs, dropping out of school, etc.)

But if I found out she was doing things I would not allow, I wouldnt go kill her or cast her aside. I would do everything in my power as a parent to get her the neccessary help.
