I'm a personal friend of Stacy's. I wanted to update you all on how she is doing. I spoke to her this evening, and so far, she's doing well. She's alittle sore and tired, but she's doing well, otherwise. She'll be spending the night in the hospital, but she should be going home some time tomorrow. I am sure, when she sees this, she will be very touched by all your well wishes! I want to extend mine as well...

Get well, Stacy, so you can get back to postin' with us. We love you! :)

Oceanbreeze, Thanks for the Updated.. I am glad she is doing good...I won't be able to talk to her Tomorrow but, I will be Thinking of her while I am In Florida.

I Know all of our Prayers Made it through for her. :)

What—you mean she’s perfectly OK and she’ll be back tomorrow night? :shock: And here we were, being all nice to her. Well, so much for this Mr. Nice Guy stuff. We need to start planning her post-operative roast. bbnt, your services will be needed as Master of Ceremonies.

Stacy is doing quite well at this time. The re implant was a sucess. I spoke to the surgeon and he sees no lingering issues. The surgery was 3.5 hours, normal time it takes.

With this new implant it should reduce the risk of meningitis(sp?). she had meningitus in January and there was some concern that it may have been caused by the implant. The truth of the matter is I don't think they will ever know what caused it. At any rate she'll be back and posting tomorrow if I know her.

I'm HOME!

Hello, my dear friends!!!

First of all, Levoniam, thank you very, very much for thinking of me. It was very touching when I learned that a thread had been created in my honor. :)

The surgery went well. Like Mike (Coffeeeeman) and Oceanbreeze have said, I was pretty much doing well when I got out of surgery. Got to the hospital at 5:45, was admitted at 6:00am and then was in my surgical gown/cap/robe at 6:15. Waited an hour for the surgeon since the "slicing" was to begin at 7:30am. I went into the OR, got into this stretcher thingy and then ZzZzZZzZzZzZzZzZzzZZzzzZzZzZ.......:::snore:::.

....woke up after noon. I don't even remember being given any "knock-out" anesthesia, but of course, there was a little soreness on the right side of the head. I'm just glad this is over and done with...thank GOD. I've been dreading this, of course...who likes having their head opened up? Right now, I just got home, I'm looking to take a much-needed shower since I smell like...well...HOSPITAL. Then of course, I'll be back!

But thank you all so much for thinking of me yesterday. I am sure that it was all of your prayers and kind thoughts and well wishes that helped me get through this. It is very nice to have friends like all of you. I look forward to talking/posting with everyone again.

Glad to hear you made it through in one piece, and that everything went smoothly. :cheers: I hope everything goes just as smoothly in a few weeks when they turn it on. Everybody I know has the Nucleus, and I’ve heard nothing but positive comments about it. And best of all, your family has to pamper you for a few days while you recover from the surgery. :) Enjoy it while it lasts—the red carpet treatment will be over before you can blink. :mad: So now that you’re out of the hospital and resting comfortably at home, does this mean we can all start bashing you again? :D :ily: :nana:

success! Now, you just take it easy and let your family pamper you for a few days! (im sure they are doing it!)

Can't wait to get back into the normal routine I'm used to, Levonian, LOL, so let the bashing begin!!! :)

Would like to thank everyone again for the well wishes. It's damn good to be home!!!
