Hi everyone,
This is a poem I wrote about my bipolar. I know it doesn't have anything to do with deafness, but it's something I decided to write to express the feelings I've kept bottled up inside about my diagnosis.
If Bipolar Were A Person
If bipolar were a person,
I'd punch it until I had no more energy left inside.
If bipolar were a person,
I'd curse it forever until it chose to hide.
If bipolar were a person,
I'd shake it vigorously and ask "Why?!"
If bipolar were a person,
I'd shout "Please have mercy! I can no longer fight."
If bipolar were a person,
I'd cry a thousand tears over what it left behind.
If bipolar were a person,
I'd beg to be given back what was rightfully mine.
If bipolar were a person,
I'd exclaim "No! You will NOT defeat me! This is MY life."
If bipolar were a person,
I'd remind them that no matter what they do to me, I will survive.
