A confession to make...

lori,

i know how you feel about taking meds. i have a confession. i've been guilty of not taking my bipolar meds for a week (this was in the early days of my diagnosis in 2006 when i was still in denial that i even had bipolar) because i felt "normal" and level. it wasn't long though before i realized what a big mistake that was because my mania, depression, auditory hallucinations, delusions and paranoia would come back with a vengeance (even though paranoia is something i struggle with despite being on meds). now i'm 100%
med-compliant and take my meds religiously.

i confess that as part of my paranoia, i have 7 different types.

i'm afraid of people poisoning my food, following me, calling the police for a crime i didn't commit and watching me through video cameras installed in my apartment.

i'm also afraid of dying a slow and painful death, losing complete touch with reality like i did in 2006 and obeying my voices when they tell me to harm myself.

off-topic...

lori,

you mentioned going from one extreme mood to the next and back again. have you ever been evaluated to see if you have bipolar? (you don't have to answer this question if you don't want to -- otherwise you can respond here or send me a pm.)

No, i dont need a remedial class, i tested into this one, I just think there needs to be a review day... it has been 2 years since i did math without a calculator.

a review day isn't long enough of a period to refresh anyone on the basics of algebra.

Yeah, I agree with that statement..
Algebra, the basic fundamentals of that arithmetic is following a certain pattern of steps and sequences to solve your problem. It is like building a lego castle or driving a car on the road. Your initial road connects to another road, which connects to another larger road, and connects to the freeway. Can't just skip the directions of the road or you're going to get lost... if you do not understand something in algebra, it's best you go back to review it or you're gonna have a real hard time coming on up.
