It seems to me that if there had been any Bush conspiracy about 9/11, Obama would have said something by now. As President, Obama has access to to all the records and he hasn't said anything about a conspiracy. That means either:

A. There was no conspiracy,

or

B. There was a conspiracy and he (Obama) is now part of it also.

I believe it is A.

I've never been one for conspiracy theories.

I have to say I agree with Reba. I don't think 9/11 was a conspiracy on behalf of GW. However, I also don't understand our reasons for being in Iraq nor do I agree with the war. Having said that, my feelings have softened a little. Now that we've been in Iraq for quite some time, I worry about what will happen if we leave. I'm now leaning more towards the opinion that we ought to stay there until the Iraqis can show us that they want to improve their country for the better. It seems though that the U.S. has gotten itself into a mess it can't get itself out of. If we stay in Iraq, more men and women will lose their lives, but if we leave, there is the potential for more terrorism. What to do?

exactly. Bush acknowledged that he made mistake. He acknowledged that the intelligence he was given was flawed. He acknowledged that we're in deep shit for sure but what he won't do is letting Iraqis bleed to death by insurgents. Mistake has been made and we have to suck it up..... at great cost. But this is better than fixing the mistake later on because it will be more violent and far more costly if we suddenly pack up and leave.

Right now - we're SLOWLY phasing out our American foothold in Iraq as Iraq government is slowly demonstrating their ability to enforce and to govern.

I agree. I also like the idea of Obama slowly withdrawing troops instead of removing them all at once. I think my judgment may have been clouded with my feelings about GW thereby causing me not to think logically about this. I don't agree with the war, but there isn't much we can do. The conditions in Iraq are starting to improve which is definitely a good sign.
