FYI! FDR is the ONLY president that have the actual physical disability. He got America out of the great depression.
I slept one night just across from FDR's home! Interesting home he got!

I couldn't say that FDR is the best president. I think he made one HUGE mistake that forever change the world. His mistake was not to share what Albert Einstein warned him with his Vice president. Albert Einstein warned that this formula of Atomic bomb is huge and devasating and should NEVER attempt to use at any cost. FDR actually agreed with Albert Einstein, but never mention to anyone. After his death, this message goes with him into 6 feet deep. So his vice president was desperated to finish the WWII and found the formula for Atomic Bomb! Decided to use it. I think it is HUGE mistake in fact because once it reveals how huge the bomb it is. The world would send spy to find the formula, and its done and over. We have to live with fear of Atomic age.

On the other hand, the world would not know the horrors that a nuclear weapons wrought if we had not bombed Hiroshima & Nagasaki.

Not justifying their use at all, but how would we know how truly dangerous they are if we had nobody to witness it's use during wartime?

Imagine if the first time we used nukes was against the Soviets after both sides had already amassed their nuclear arsenals.

Well if FDR had warned his VP, and that it never use then we won't have had any idea what atomic bomb is! There won't be any spies to find out the formula and how to make it.
That is what I mean.

Sorry for going off topic, Thank god for escape of Albert Einstein from Germany!!! If he had never left German, I can bet Hilter would have used this bomb on the United States soil!
