25 things about to become extinct in America!

That is how government runs. They think whatever they set up will never become outdated. Stupidity!

This includes law that requires telephone companies provide Yellow and white pages... Hello Internet is here! Where have you been, Uncle Sam?

They're everywhere at airports. :ugh2:
Some of them even have a modem built in for laptop connections.

In my house, we still have 3 35mm cameras and no digital cameras. There are the 2 webcams that will take pictures as well and the 2 Nintendo DSi's, but no digital camera.

i did say average ;) but maybe it's just an area thing. who knows... then again it did make this list.... :dunno:

:giggle::giggle: In my case it's a money thing. Can't afford a decent digital camera with the salary hubby gets.

But if you still write letters, you are worth your weight in gold! :h5:

I do write letters and twice a year I get a round of applause from the Post Office. I also use my 35mm camera and take actual photos, get them developed onto a CD and print them off myself at home and mail photos to people as well. I am now up to 20 letters a month.

That's great! I write two or three letters per week, and my parents count on and look forward to my weekly ramblings to them. Dad reads them aloud to my mother, who has by now gone blind, and it helps me feel that life is indeed worthwhile. :)

Well, 2 Nintendo DSi is $129 each unless you got it from a black market for $50 :giggle:...you could afford a $200 digital camera no problem.

The DSi's were a gift to myself and daughter. Paid $189 for each, but actually had a little off one since we traded in an old DS. I guess I just a) don't know which camera to think of and b) am not too sure I really need one.

Ah cool! Whatever floats in your boat. :)

Haha, I am one of those 0.4% that get their milk from the milkman. There is a local dairy only 2 blocks from my house. I have a cooler on my porch and twice a week I get my dairy delivery. I do my orders online and they always deliver the perfect order. I get my milk, chocolate milk, eggs, bread, cheese, juice, and even wonderfully tasting hams from my dairy. It is called Winder Dairy (I think they actually call it Winder Farms now) for those who like to look it up on google. Their family grew up with my Dad, and I was friends with their children also while growing up.

The Ash tree population collapse is sad- especially if the Kentucky Ash population gets hit. They are the major resourse of the "Louisville Slugger" wood bats that over 98% of professional baseball players use. They are believed to be the most optimal in durability, density, and weight for baseball bats. I even made my own bat from Kentucky Ash when I was in 8th grade on the lathe at school.

I still bowl a league at a "Stand Alone" bowling ally, although in the last 10 years, I have definately seen a large proliferation of bowling alleys with multiple entertainment options.

That seem very weird to me at the decline of the Drive in Theatre. Here there is quite a large drive in Theatre that usually is very full on especially Friday and Saturday nights. Seems to be staying strong in my very localized area. They recently did a 5 million dollar renovation and upgrade to the theatre (about 10 years ago)

Most curiously though, is the significant decline in honey bee population as reported by this article. I have never heard a pressing issue regarding this beforehand. If it is true though it worries me because the bees play such a significant role in nearly all ecologies.

I heard about the honey bee last year , people been talking about it for awhile. The bats are dying too and that is bad news . It is really sad about the wild horses , it is too bad man kind does not die off! We're are making a mess out earth!
