Haha, I am one of those 0.4% that get their milk from the milkman. There is a local dairy only 2 blocks from my house. I have a cooler on my porch and twice a week I get my dairy delivery. I do my orders online and they always deliver the perfect order. I get my milk, chocolate milk, eggs, bread, cheese, juice, and even wonderfully tasting hams from my dairy. It is called Winder Dairy (I think they actually call it Winder Farms now) for those who like to look it up on google. Their family grew up with my Dad, and I was friends with their children also while growing up.
The Ash tree population collapse is sad- especially if the Kentucky Ash population gets hit. They are the major resourse of the "Louisville Slugger" wood bats that over 98% of professional baseball players use. They are believed to be the most optimal in durability, density, and weight for baseball bats. I even made my own bat from Kentucky Ash when I was in 8th grade on the lathe at school.
I still bowl a league at a "Stand Alone" bowling ally, although in the last 10 years, I have definately seen a large proliferation of bowling alleys with multiple entertainment options.
That seem very weird to me at the decline of the Drive in Theatre. Here there is quite a large drive in Theatre that usually is very full on especially Friday and Saturday nights. Seems to be staying strong in my very localized area. They recently did a 5 million dollar renovation and upgrade to the theatre (about 10 years ago)
Most curiously though, is the significant decline in honey bee population as reported by this article. I have never heard a pressing issue regarding this beforehand. If it is true though it worries me because the bees play such a significant role in nearly all ecologies.
