It would appear that heavily urbanized areas are blue and rural areas are red.

Where did I read that the census said only 20% of Americans live in rural areas?

In comparison to past elections, I see the pendulum swinging. From the right to the left; from the left to the right.

They say that Bush's legacy will, now, be giving America (and the world) Obama.

Well my area is considered rural and it went blue. I'm happy with that! :)

I live in a suburb that has 60,000 residents and my neighborhood is entirely Conservative.

:shock: The county I live in (Anne Arundel) is RED!! Damn, I live among Republicans. No wonder I saw so many McCain signs in my area. Interesting.

But close call though...McCain 50.4% and Obama 48.1%

Shel,

You're not alone! I live in a Conservative neighborhood where everyone supported McCain -- and I mean *everyone*. (My sister told me about all of the McCain signs found in people's yards while in her neighborhood there was an even division between McCain and Obama signs.)

A "red" state that voted for George W. Bush in 2004. I love it! :D

not whole state :)

from the article link that netrox provided;

"Democrat Barack Obama won the Omaha-based 2nd Congressional District on Friday, scooping up one of the state's five electoral votes."

Mine is 52 percent Obama, in Clark County WA ;)

Interesting. Thanks for correcting me, Boult. :)
