2 different brands of CI

Hello! :)

Maybe my question is silly, but just totally out of curiosity, is it possible to wear one brand in one ear and another brand in other ear? For example, Cochlear in left ear and Medel in right ear... Is there anyone who wears 2 different brands at same time?

some people do. There was one person on these forums that had Cochlear on one side, and Advanced Bionics on the other.
 
yes it is possible, depending on choice, any problems you have with other side, etc
 
I asked my audiologist about this, and while it is possible - have to keep in mind that you will have to deal with 2 different companies.

If you stick with one company, and if you needed to replace something in both implants, it's probaly a much easier process.
