Parents, the government, and even Jack "Jackass" Thompson worked their ass off like crazy whining, complaining, and blaming to the videogame companies on producing violent videogames thinking that kids would get influenced by violent games such as Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto, ID software's Doom, and even Midway's Mortal Kombat and then point fingers and blame on videogame indursties when it comes to high school schoolings, etc...
well this time, ladies and gentlemen, this time you can finally OPEN your eyes and see that the violent videogames dont always influence kids such as children and teenagers but can influence on adults as well. and that what happened to the 36 year old man who just brutally attacked the teenager over a videogame of "Gears of War". Games are supposed to be fun...not to be taken seriously! One man was so pissed that he found out that the gamestore was running out of copies and the 15 yr old kid had the last copy, and he went after him, going berserk like an animal and he was so badly beaten he seriously need medical attention. The cops then arrived at the scene and arrested the man and the kid was at the hospital but sadly, the kid didnt have the copy of the game since the police said they need the copy to study it for investigation.
Now you dont have to blame videogame companies now do you? you can blame on the man who nearly killed the kid over a videogame instead.
Teen put in hospital by 36-year-old man as a result of stock shortages
While it’s normally hardware launches that prompt violence and silliness, it would seem that recently reviewed title Gears of War reached such a level of hype that some customers were actually prepared to use their fists to secure themselves a copy.
According to reports currently floating around the internet, a 15-year-old boy was attacked and actually put into hospital by a 36-year-old man who kicked off in a queue outside a branch of Gamestop in Detroit.
Apparently, the argument developed after store clerks informed the crowd that stocks were running out, at which point the 36-year-old customer attempted to cut in line and when challenged swore at and repeatedly punched the 15-year-old who was to receive the last copy of the game.
Naturally the police were called and the man was arrested for aggravated assault and is currently awaiting arraignment at a local correctional facility.
The kid on the other hand was so badly beaten that he had to go to hospital for treatment to wounds on his face, head and neck. The real bummer though is he doesn’t even have his rightful copy of Gears of War to play as he mends either – this is currently being held by police as evidence.
