Parents, the government, and even Jack "Jackass" Thompson worked their ass off like crazy whining, complaining, and blaming to the videogame companies on producing violent videogames thinking that kids would get influenced by violent games such as Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto, ID software's Doom, and even Midway's Mortal Kombat and then point fingers and blame on videogame indursties when it comes to high school schoolings, etc...

well this time, ladies and gentlemen, this time you can finally OPEN your eyes and see that the violent videogames dont always influence kids such as children and teenagers but can influence on adults as well. and that what happened to the 36 year old man who just brutally attacked the teenager over a videogame of "Gears of War". Games are supposed to be fun...not to be taken seriously! One man was so pissed that he found out that the gamestore was running out of copies and the 15 yr old kid had the last copy, and he went after him, going berserk like an animal and he was so badly beaten he seriously need medical attention. The cops then arrived at the scene and arrested the man and the kid was at the hospital but sadly, the kid didnt have the copy of the game since the police said they need the copy to study it for investigation.

Now you dont have to blame videogame companies now do you? you can blame on the man who nearly killed the kid over a videogame instead.

Teen put in hospital by 36-year-old man as a result of stock shortages

While it’s normally hardware launches that prompt violence and silliness, it would seem that recently reviewed title Gears of War reached such a level of hype that some customers were actually prepared to use their fists to secure themselves a copy.

According to reports currently floating around the internet, a 15-year-old boy was attacked and actually put into hospital by a 36-year-old man who kicked off in a queue outside a branch of Gamestop in Detroit.

Apparently, the argument developed after store clerks informed the crowd that stocks were running out, at which point the 36-year-old customer attempted to cut in line and when challenged swore at and repeatedly punched the 15-year-old who was to receive the last copy of the game.

Naturally the police were called and the man was arrested for aggravated assault and is currently awaiting arraignment at a local correctional facility.

The kid on the other hand was so badly beaten that he had to go to hospital for treatment to wounds on his face, head and neck. The real bummer though is he doesn’t even have his rightful copy of Gears of War to play as he mends either – this is currently being held by police as evidence.

Cliffy B should give the kid some freebie GOW stuff and give him a tour at Epic headquarters to help him get over the 36 year old man child.

Oh shit, 36 years old man is just stupid to attack at 15 years old guy.

It wasn't from video game but it was argued over queue, such as people who in line and wait for games. If games are out then companies would make more then shipping in other days but no big deal for us.

If GTA SA is out then they make more and shipping to stores.

I don't think so because GoW is M-rated and probably not allowed to let under 17 years old to own it unless if parent allow them to do it.

What a horrible story. (But what was the store doing selling the game to a 15-year-old? Hopefully his mom or dad was there.)

And no, I don't blame videogames. I blame a guy with SERIOUS anger management issues. But you know Jack Thompson is going to have a field day with this.

It happened in Detroit so I wouldnt be surprised if they dont even care about the age difference there since there were so much crime rates and all.

No, I don't blame the video game company for this, it sad that some people can get beaten badly over a game? I'm with my children every time we stop at Gamestop, and they're never alone...I wonder if the boy's parents were there with him cause it say nothing about his parents hmmm....and isn't he too young to be buying this game alone without his parents?...:sniffing: sounds like a lawsuit coming from his parents...:eek3:

I bet that Jack would realize that Detroit is bad place to live and crime is real fucked up.

I hope he wouldn't fuck up with MS or we will whipping his ass.

Where are kid's parents? If he comes to the store alone, and then what the fuck is Gamestop thinking of selling a Mature game to a 15 years old boy?
