but I don't think organic food is a waste of money, because it's a step in the right direction, away from conventional pesticides/GMO's. That kind of thing has to start somewhere. There are actual guidelines in place for the National Organics program in the U.S. Just because it's not perfect doesn't mean it utterly useless.
I do think the emphasis on "natural" as a value or descriptor - is mis-leading because white sugar is natural but still crap for you. you can have natural potato chips or 'M & M' look-alikes but they're still not very healthy for a person, especially if you eat handfuls of them.
