Personally, I don't care if there are 100K people in these pictures but I know someone in another forum who was a cop in St. Louis and he says he knows the area in this picture very well and says there is no way there's that many people there. Something to do with the camera, the angles, the lens, etc. He says there cannot be more than 7-12k people there.

But, like I said, it makes no neverminds to me....

That doesn't mean that all the people attending will vote for Obama. Some people just enjoy going where the action is (crowds, press attention, etc.). It's an event.

The historical significance of the courthouse in the picture is being missed. It's where the Dred Scott v. Sanford case was held 151 years before.

As for the doubters regarding the numbers, it was the police who had released the numbers. You're right in that there couldn't be 100,000 there. The missing 10,000 were next door.

AFP: 100,000 turn out for Obama in Missouri
According to Obama's campaign, Lieutenant Samuel Dotson of the St Louis Police Department had confirmed 90,000 in a park under the arch, also known as Missouri's "Gateway to the West."

Dotson said another 10,000 were still filing into the Jefferson National Expansion Memorial park next to the Mississippi River, as Obama laid out his case against Republican John McCain ahead of the November 4 election.

It was an event. It was a rally and people had shown up . . . for a rally.

Exactly OR curious to see what Obama is like in person.

Just remember, that cop is a Republican. Hee.

Although it is a lot of people, I'll say. 100,000 seems rather excessive, but I would say it's safe to say there would be 10,000 to 30,000.
