1 1/2 to 2 years ROAD TRIP, Travel Partners NEEDED!

Again, to those of you didn't read carefully.

I said I strongly prefer female, age 21 and older.

AND

at the last paragraph, I said I prefer open minded buddies, NOT just female! I prefer female but I welcome males and I ALSO prefer those people to be open minded. Those festivals I am going to tend to be offensive and graphics, and which I don't want to waste time dealing with people who don't want to go there.

And, I think I am going to look for hearings cuz I think they get the points while you don't

I checked your trailjournal website.. Wow! Beautiful pics you took... I would love to join... but... I'm stuck with a job that I can't quit... :| Have a good one & good luck, Flash Hand! :thumb:

I just looked thru his website, pictures and journals. I must say that I'm truly impressed! ADers, please look at his website and look at everything. Those pictures are beautiful with landscape, cabins, mountains, etc! I wish I could go but can't because I'm married with five children. Also I know I can't keep hiking like Allan does for 7 miles a day on average. For those that love hiking and has great strength for endurance should sign up for it. Allan, are you the only one in the group who is deaf? Is that why you would like a deaf person, especially a woman that you could sign with while hiking?

I found women are more tolerance than men. Men are short fused and short patience... I am sure you women knows. How many of your husbands come home from work, willing to clean house, cook food, doing teamworks, go outside do yard works?

Most women are photogentic. They love photography. Rarely I could see in men. Most men are not romantic. Some women do.

:dunno: So he wants you to clean for him, let him take pictures of you, and he wants to get romantic with you?? :dunno: :thumbd: :wtf:

I guess you DON'T get it. Are you high school drop out? Doesn't you understand the examples of the point I am expressing on the previous post? Go back to school.

And, Peachy and Flyfishfemme, thanks for the compliment. It took a lot of efforts to take picture perfect. I don't know if I should do 3rd attempt thru-hike the 2,174 miles Appalachian Trail ( I might already have someone who is deaf and interested to join) but if he want to leave late while I want to leave early like mid-February, then I will might abandon this thru-hike adventure and stick to the across USA Travel. Peachy, I understand that 5 kids are one of huge responsiblity. I envy you of your big family that I don't have yet.

On my first attempt thru hike, an amputee hiker named Scott Rogers who know sign language and we communicated well. His name is plastered on national media and associated press. You can even find his name in search engines. 2nd attempt thru hike, I hiked couple of miles with Fred Orser, who is CODA. We communicate a little bit.

Again, thanks for the compliment you guys gave me. It sure gave me head up cuz I thought this ADers are here to stab everyone else's back but I was wrong. :thumb:

With all due respect Allan,

I really think you need to step back and realize where we are coming from! You came to a mostly deaf forum looking for a travel buddy. In your request you stated that you preferred an open-minded, deaf female. Okay, fine. However, you fail to understand something here. We have reason to be wary of you. First of all, you come in here out of the blue from nowhere soliciting a travel companion. No matter how well meaning you may be, we are going to be wary. It's human nature to be wary of strangers. We would be crazy to blindly walk into this without questioning you. Furthermore, this is a generalized forum not specific to travel. We're unfamiliar with such solicitations. How do we know you're not a serial killer looking to take a woman on the adventure of her life, so you can rape and kill her? I know this sounds far-fetched and like I have an overactive imagination, but in this day and age, it happens!

I would like to respectfully suggest that perhaps another forum would have been better suited to your request. Perhaps, one geared towards travel and leisure?

Good luck!

Aptly put!

Well said OB. Now remmy this there is crime everywhere and we have right to protect ourself. It is not our misunderstanding. It is our proctection. I understand that you are looking for someone to travel with you but in this forum may be in a wrong place to post your request.

Also remmy this there is lot of ppl who have lured teenagers women and even men to meet someone from online that they dont know that person so well and ended up dead or hurt. So Please respect us that we have concern of our well being and be safe.

Sorry to put it that way but that how I feel and some of the member here too.

Thank you! :)

You also raised a good point as well. Underaged girls who might be lurking, and happen upon this sight can see this. I didn't think of this specifically, but there are lots of things we tend to overlook when seeing an attractive offer. It's really best to be wary and question it than it is to blindly walk into a situation. At best, you'll regret it. At worst, you'll potentially lose your life!

It's best to be careful, and that's all we're doing. We're being careful!

I would go but i am 18.. sadly for me not old enough for your expectation

Sorry.. BUT you got plenty of years ahead of you to travel. Don't put yourself in negative position. =) I just don't want to be found responsible for an intoxicated teens. Also, I dont really feel right to travel with "teenagers" I felt comfortable with adults.

Keep your hope up and you will get your dream come true =)

Allan

lol.. i was just kidding.. I am plannign to travel when i am ready. I get what you mean about the age.

By the way, 18 is not really teenagers, they officially become adults at age 18 in canada.

FH - I understand your point and I love to traveling all USA, too. It would take my time to take my vacation week off from my work. Sorry, I did not use SSI/SSDI to travel with.

Thank you and good luck for finding buddy... ;)

 I guess I am a high school drop out then........ I would never think of someone with a 4.0 GPA in college and someone who knows 3 languages as a drop out, but oh well.....
