Thanks for the replies... I wish I learned as a toddler, you've no fear at that age. I cant sign or lipread and depend on the aid too much. I'm very uncomforatable without it. I would be too nervous to try to learn without it.

Man I would love bilateral hearing, nice one. My audi offered a 28 day trial of the digital aids, I went back to him about 6 or 8 times for adjustments but I would have to pay the full amount after 28 days so I returned them and went back to analog.

I found that the digital ones I tried didnt have the crispness and clarity in speech that my old analog one did have. So I retuned them. Speech is my big problem.

I wear one analog, I tried digital twice but I returned them as speech clarity was best in my old analog. I've no hearing in one ear, perfect hearing in the other until I was 21 and then two sudden hearing losses. I have a love/hate replationship with my ha. Hopefully someone will develop...
