From my understanding, French and English are the two official languages in/of Canada. However, ASL and LSQ are the official languages of the Canadian Deaf Association. Is my understanding incorrect?

I have watched all episodes of The New Normal and also got my daughter hooked on it. We love the characters and the writing and the way it moves from sweet to funny to thought-provoking.

This just breaks my heart.

Tousi, Yes, I interpreted that to mean that if you were signing thank you to one person but there was another person behind you, the person behind you could think the gesture was 'me ne frego'.:dunno:

Re post # 6 Italians will do a gesture where the backs of their closed 5 hand fingertips will brush the underneath of their chin moving forward and out. It's a gesture for "me ne frego" which translates basically to "I don't give a damn".

It will be interesting to see how people and businesses will react to this. We have never had a Saturday delivery and it's never been a problem that I know of - even before the advent of the internet.

My son was looking for a printable (and powerpoint) ASL alphabet for a school project and brought the 'palm out' g and h to my attention. If you google ASL alphabet images, you will see them depicted there over and over again. I thought it most strange. :hmm:

I am interested to know if most of you sign the letters "g" and "h" with your palm in or palm out? I have always used and encountered palm in but many alphabet pictorals show palm out.

I haven't had an issue with pets in a relationship but I can imagine it happening. If, in a serious relationship, the pet (either theirs or mine) consistently received more attention and consideration than I did, I'd be out of there.

Just got back from being invited to watch a grade 3 class perform a beautiful song in sign about how special everyone is when you look inside. What a lovely break from an otherwise dreary kind of day :-).

Today I heard that the combined weight of all the ants in the world is about equal to the combined weight of all humans and ants outnumber humans a million to one. I guess we can forget 'Planet of the Apes', time to start considering "Planet of the Ants", Ack!!
