GOOD NEWS! Easy Incoming RELAY calls on Sidekick, Hiptop and BlackBerry!

It is true I have been talking to her... however, I must make a correction: No BlackBerry works with Bell Relay out-of-the-box. Both Bell Mobility BlackBerry and Rogers BlackBerry will work with Bell Relay as long as you invent some software (like I did) that makes it all work properly...

GOOD NEWS! Easy Incoming RELAY calls on Sidekick, Hiptop and BlackBerry!

Outgoing calls works fine. That's because it is made through AIM chat, rather than through the phone number. But same net result: You're able to make outgoing calls through "My IP Relay" AIM Chat just fine. It's just that your number won't show up on call-display...

    DVDs that are NOT subtitled.

A solution: Use a "Progressive-Scan" DVD Player... (even if your TV is not progressive scan - just use the regular outputs) Apparently, more of them contain caption decoders built-in, than non-progressive-scan DVD players. This is because closed captions need to be decoded before the...

    DVDs that are NOT subtitled.

A few titles have neither closed captions nor subtitles. One is the cute robot movie "Short Circuit" that I watched as a little kid. A damn shame!

Good news for BlackBerry users on T-Mobile / AT&T / Nextel!

Even better news! CINGULAR now supports Verichat on BlackBerry 7290! But you have to call Cingular and ask to get "Wireless Internet Express" added to your BlackBerry account, also tell them you need the "wap.cingular Access Point Name" added to your BlackBerry account. There is no extra...

    Microwaved Water...whoa

">>Try put your keys in there for 59.99 mintures." For that matter, try to put a baby bottle of milk for 59.99 minutes too. :D Metal such as keys alone is far less dangerous than mixing thin metal with something else flammable like butter. Question is, what is the most dangerous thing...

    Microwaved Water...whoa

It's a myth that metal causes microwaves to explode. Metal is a finicky thing for microwaves -- it's usually not dangerous (definitely not as dangerous as exploding jawbreakers, tomatoes or overheated glasses of water). Sometimes thin foil like butter wrap will cause special effects...

GOOD NEWS! Easy Incoming RELAY calls on Sidekick, Hiptop and BlackBerry!

    >>"I'm usually logged into AIM, but if I am logged in but have an away message up and am not there, will it just go to the answering machine feature becuase I didn't answer?" Yes, I believe so. Not 100% confirmed though.

GOOD NEWS! Easy Incoming RELAY calls on Sidekick, Hiptop and BlackBerry!

You can even use this service even if you don't even have AIM at all. You only need an email address at the minimum to benefit from this service. (Edit: You do need AIM to 'activate' the phone number for setup, though) It'll just simply be permanently in "answering machine" mode...

GOOD NEWS! Easy Incoming RELAY calls on Sidekick, Hiptop and BlackBerry!

I love the email "answering machine" feature. If I am logged off AIM, people can just leave a voice message and the relay operator will type an email message to my pager!

GOOD NEWS! Easy Incoming RELAY calls on Sidekick, Hiptop and BlackBerry!

Email notification is actually working right now (today). There is no costs, and no fees. The phone number is free for deaf users. The information about the fees refer to your wireless device -- not the relay service. And most deafies use an Unlimited wireless plan so no extra fees for...

GOOD NEWS! Easy Incoming RELAY calls on Sidekick, Hiptop and BlackBerry!

javapride, It's free. Get some phone number anyway. You can get a phone number from a different USA city, you can do that! Get a phone number in the same city as your family. You probably have a friend or family outside of Hawaii. It will just be a local phone call to them, no charge...

GOOD NEWS! Easy Incoming RELAY calls on Sidekick, Hiptop and BlackBerry!

TiaraPrincess, You do NOT need to be logged on. The voicemail is sent by EMAIL if you are not logged on. You can use your pager's email address! Or hotmail. Or gmail. Or whatever. Any email address works! So you don't need to be logged onto AIM! 1. Log onto AIM: Live...

Good news for BlackBerry users on T-Mobile / AT&T / Nextel!

Newer devices can be cheaper for the same reason that today's better computers are cheaper than yesterday's more expensive computers two years ago. Also notice how a computer system with 15" LCD and massive 1024MB RAM -- is often cheaper than a computer system with 19" LCD and only 256MB RAM...

Good news for BlackBerry users on T-Mobile / AT&T / Nextel!

I vote for BlackBerry model 7290. It's more user friendly for wireless Internet. 7730 - Older model - Less memory (16MB) - Bigger screen - Heavier weight - Needs you to pay extra for BES/MDS (or needs special access to 4.0 OS beta software upgrade) - Less User Friendly for Internet...

    T900 character limit

For those folks with T900, give them a different short email address that automatically forwards to your BlackBerry. For example, get another email account with "forwarding capability" such as GMAIL ... and forward a short email like: "yourname@gmail.com" -> Forwards To ->...
