    Rock & a Hard Place

A bit off topic, but I recently came across an article in "Exceptional Families" magazine about ASL vs. Speech. When I saw that on the cover I was skeptical, but it was actually super pro-ASL. It was fabulous to see something like that in "mainstream" hearing media!

    ASL, But Not Really...

I am so ridiculously confused. I will just chalk it up to the fact that I have a migraine and go to sleep now. Maybe it will all make sense in the morning. Then again, perhaps not.

3.5 is long for anyone. I use terps and even with terps I can't do more than 2 hours. When all you get is visual information, it can be hard!

    Deaf wannabe!!!!!!!!!!!! So bad

Most of the time I hear nothing without my aids. it may be at most like 1 day a month that my lows jump up for some unexplicable reason. I am always NR beyond 1000Hz so it doesn't mean much anyway. Never get doubts from docs. My ABR has no response.

I am with the others here. My deepest condolances if this isn't a hoax. However, I did do some googling and I can't find any obituary or news article of an accident.

Calling out Creative Minds for my class project

Multi-coloured plastercine. Outer later reinforced with plastercasting so you have a strong base. then use the differnt colours of (accurately) coloured plastercine to make an effective sagittal section? If you were a real keener you could even put a clear piece of plastic on it to close it off...

Cochlear Americas Pays $950,000 to Settle Federal Kickback Allegations

What is really nauseating is the fact that Ontario launched a mass vaccination campaign for girls in grade 7-9. However, the vaccine was only trialed on 100 girls in the age range and the mass vaccination campaign came way to early to actually know the long term affects of this vaccine. Why...

Cochlear Americas Pays $950,000 to Settle Federal Kickback Allegations

It is rampant within big pharma. It is [one of] the reason[s] I am against the gardasil vaccine. It is kind of ridiculous how much it affects the psychiatric industry too.

Yup. I go through spurts of use. For the last week or so I have consistantly worn one at least. It depends on what I am doing. I never wear them at home.

    ASL, But Not Really...

Yeah. I am a total word nerd. Oddly enough my favorite areas were phonetics and phonology. I think I threw myself into that because everyone was telling me I couldn't. I am stubborn like that:giggle::wave:

Someone else explained captioning. An FM system is basically a little mic and transmitter your prof would wear and the sound is transmitted to your hearing aids so you can hear the prof without the background noise.
