Haha, it wasn't long enough. I live in Scotland now (It's where I was born and my dad's family is here) and I miss Japan terribly.
I moved around quite a bit as a child. We have family in Japan. When I first moved to Japan, we lived in Chichibu, and then we moved in with my uncle in Tokyo for...
Welcome, Kay!
That's awesome that you want to teach English in Japan! I'm deaf and I lived in Japan for 11 years. So, I don't know a whole lot about teaching in Japan but I do know the education system very well and of course general knowledge about Japan.
Are you planning on immersing...
Agree with you both. The English language has far too many words. It's exhausting. Not to mention slang!!! It's the bane of my existence. I've already had this rant before so I'll leave it there but yeah, I write better than I speak, let's say
Sorry dogmom. That was a bit of a bad generalisation for me to make. I just mean that most people I've interacted with whom are still learning sign, are hard for me to interact with. Sorry if I hurt your feelings, it was unintentional. Please accept my apologies
That's awesome that you...
Aww, thank you, Cappy! That's so sweet of you to say.
I often have that problem with those who are not quite fluent in sign yet. They often sign slow and sluggish so I prefer for them to move their lips while they sign - it just makes it easier for me.
Does anyone else find it sometimes hard to switch between languages? I do.
Take, JSL for instance. We're very mouthy. We use our mouths ALOT to express certain differences in the signs we use. Which can be hard when I'm switching to either BSL or ASL due to the fact that it's not really...
Do you happen to have any friends that also sign? Perhaps you could take her to see them and then ask them to sign whatever words she's not signing properly then she'll see that it's not just you that signs it the proper way, but many others do to. That'll encourage her to sign it right as...
I noticed that you're still a teenager, could it maybe just be from that? I know that not so long ago (I'm 21) I was a teen and I was constantly sleeping and such. That's just what happens due to hormones, etc...
The only things I get invited to are Uni functions and normally they're boring or consist of people getting drunk off their butt way too early in the day.
So, I avoid them like the plague. Typically I blame it on my deafness, other times I just say that it's not my scene.
Beginning of June :hyper:
It is, thankfully. It's not visible however it's a rather large tooth.
Well, I will be under the anastetic so hopefully it's okay.
I love Mushrooms :D
One of my favourite dishes is Negi & Shimeji Mushrooms with Ni Tamago :dance2:
Excuse my attempts to translate above and I'll now attempt to translate these ingredients to English but that's basically a kind of long but fat at the top mushroom with really (watery? Yolky?)...
The dentist :(
Have to get put under using anastetic (sp?) to get a tooth out that is really broken up in there. It has to come out in pieces along with its root.
Oh wow! This thread exploded, so many responses and conversations
Jesus was Jewish!? How did I not know this :dizzy: Then again, not that I follow any religions or anything. Although I have dabbled in some Paganism in my youth
