    My Nerves Are SHOT!

Is it possible she's bored? She's not getting as much environmental stimulation so that, coupled with being 3, could lead to her trying to occupy herself and one thing that toddlers LOVE is driving mom crazy. She probably knows it bothers you when she screams, so she does.

So, this morning, I went to see --

Absolutely awesome. My husband is a space junkie and I want to take him and my boys to see one of the shuttles.

What is it like to be DEAF? VLog

First, awesome video. Second, his family are assholes. Third, jerks are jerks whether they're hearing or deaf. I don't know why there's so much us/them/hearing/Deaf. For me it's simple; you're either decent or not. Most people are, and are willing to learn and be educated about the lives of...

    All inspired...

I couldn't understand all of it but here is the best I can do: This man comes to the childrens hospital every day for many years and shines shoes for the doctors, etc. He donates the money to the hospital fund for families who can't pay. I couldn't tell if they meant just his tips or the whole...

    What's your dinner tonight?

Bourbon chicken, roasted potatoes, grilled cabbage, rice pilaf and corn. Smells divine in here.

    For Ladies Only...

If iron is a problem, iron supplements aren't really that good for you, long term. Try eating more leafy greens, spinach, etc all month -- it'll make you feel better than the pills and won't upset your stomach. :) It's pretty common for women though, I hope it's that simple and it helps. I...

A Thread About Absolutely Nothing! Part III

We still have too much snow here for flowers but even the thought of crocus' make me happy. I need to bake and do a lot of laundry. I'm not sure I have the energy to be Suzy Homemaker today, but so be it.

    "In-between"

Quite possibly a stage, all kids are different and go through different phases. My two boys are quite distinct in actions and how they see the world and what bothers them. Could also be that she's frustrated because she doesn't know what's going on. Around that age, kids start to notice a lot...

    Replacing the earmold tube

I put new ones in mine regularly, but they're pointy and slide in fairly well. I don't know about getting an old one back in, maybe a bit of lubricant? Then you've got to worry about getting that off though... hmm. You can order them on ebay and at lloyds, but that doesn't help you today...

    "In-between"

Her hearing is in my range, so I'll help how I can. I have one ear reverse slope and one sloped though, so not quite the same. Remember that everyone is different :) Your mileage will vary, and all that. With my aids, I can easily carry on a one-on-one conversation indoors. I can do ok in a...

What are you thinking about? Part VI

Yes, for some reason I can't remember the name of those things. I sold them 30 years ago and have eaten them almost every year since and by every winter I go 'Um, Tommalogs? Tagabands? Longabergers? Um, the pb/choc ones!' :giggle:

What should I know about hearing aids?

I would definately get a retention strap of some kind -- eargear comes with them, some other places might. I can barely keep track of mine sometimes, I can't imagine trying to keep a toddler from leaving them inside a shoe or the toilet.
