That's an excellent point! I just don't like when they use subtitles or voiceover for Deaf characters, and I thought their approach was unique. I guess I'd prefer subtitles to voiceover though.

I wouldn't necessarily expect it to be in every store, because it's an old movie. But it's easily available online. One thing I like about it is that they don't give Marlee's character voiceovers or subtitles. The way they do it is by having Bill Hurt's character repeat what she says back to...

No, CamelCase is different. CamelCase doesn't have spaces between words. AstroTurf, CinemaScope - those are examples of CamelCase. Interesting though that your habit of typing is the same as what forums do when you type in all caps, how did you manage that habit?! Interesting.

Yes, I've heard of online ITP programs, but not online ASL courses. You really should learn ASL from a 3-D person first, the spatial nature of the language makes it work much better in person. Videos are helpful though. Once you are comfortable with ASL, you can start with online ITP...

Whoa now! I didn't say that. thesynthfreq said the meds knocked out the high frequencies, and I noticed that the chart posted indicated deafness at all frequencies. All I was saying was that the meds must have knocked out ALL the frequencies not just the high ones.

I think it killed all your hearing! LOL. Well, we all become deaf in different ways, right? At least you survived! 3 months premature, wow!
