I was able to wash my hair like 3 days after surgery, but had to keep the incision and ear COVERED/dry. was tricky, but I managed. Had to wait until after stitches came out to get the whole area wet/washed properly.

yeah, DeafDucky is right. CI is NOT a cure. NOT a magic fix. Just like with a hearing aid, it takes time and patience and effort to make it work, and it's not perfect.

perhaps she is increasing your volume up too often. Yes, you do need to wear your CI more to get used to it. In order for the CI to sound better, one needs to wear it as much as they can. If the CI comes off frequently during the day, then that's not very helpful. The brain needs to get used...
