What are you thinking about? Part VIII

Thank you. It was pretty amazing stepping out onto that glass ledge and looking down. It was a beautiful clear day so you could see everything. I highly recommend it IF one is not afraid of heights.

    Trouble with CI/Tinnitus?

Ernie, I'm so sorry you are having to go through all of this. I hope you can find someone who can help you. From what I understand, removing the implant is no guarantee that the tinnitus will stop. Our Vets deserve the best healthcare available. Best of luck.

    Home Renovation/Construction

Crazy, right? We do have a really large kitchen. They count each door and drawer as one panel, we have close to 50 panels. We looked into having everything sanded down and painted. That was roughly $7000 but it would take about 5 weeks of a huge mess and the smell is horrible so I would have...

A whole year:giggle: OMG frozen thin mints are my downfall, they would be gone so fast. Probably a good thing I haven't seen anyone selling girl scout cookies yet. Now I'm craving them.:giggle:

Just got the estimate for refacing our kitchen cabinets. Includes all new hardware, new doors and drawers plus making some basic changes. Was $4000 over what I expected and my estimate was a lot higher than what my husband thought. CRAZY!!!!

    Home Renovation/Construction

We had two contractors out today to give us estimates. One was for our HVAC unit which we guessed would be around $15,000 but the bid was for $26,000 OUCH!!! Kitchen cabinet lady came today. We have decided instead of having a company come in and sand down and repaint, spending 2-4 weeks...

    Superbowl 50

Good win for the Broncos...I was a little shocked they pulled it off. The commercials were not as funny as in the past. The Dorito one with the couple having a sonogram was super funny. I also think last years half time show was better than this years.

    House Hunting

When will you find out if you get the house? You are super handy and seem to be able to handle every type of project. My husband works full time, just doesn't have the time or energy to do a lot of the projects we need done around the house. Having others come in is so expensive. Good luck...

    Home Renovation/Construction

We have a whole house alarm and when my kids lived at home, none of them woke up when the house alarm went off. My husband didn't wake up either. We are looking into getting a new, deaf friendly alarm soon. I hate being home alone, sleeping and not know if something is going on in my house...

    Home Renovation/Construction

I will have a lot of pictures to share in the next few months. We are getting a lot of projects estimated and hopefully from there we will get everything done. All of a sudden, hubby wants to get everything done. Super excited. But, putting all new carpet in your house is a ton of work. We...

What did you learn today? Part II

I learned that carpet colors have not change much over the years. One of the samples we picked out was almost a perfect match for what we have now. I want something different, have waited a long time to get this project done. Not looking forward to all the work, reorganizing, moving...
