Court of public opinion looms large in George Zimmerman murder trial

That's not true - Zimmerman will require to pay the civil lawsuit claim, so it means he has to give some of asset to pay, or court could garnish the wage, seizing the bank account, lien on properties.

Only escape from pay is file for bankruptcy.

I don't have any sympathy for him and his life will never same as before.

Again,
If he loses a judgement CERTAIN assets are untouchable.

Florida law provides many ways to protect assets from creditors. People anticipating substantial civil judgments often move from other states to Florida to become a Florida resident for asset protection purposes. The most important and well-known Florida protection is the homestead exemption. Florida Statutes exempt many types of financial assets from creditor execution. Florida also protects property owned jointly by a husband and wife from the creditors of either spouse. Limited partnerships and LLCs are used for asset protection because the creditor has limited collection rights against the debtor’s ownership interest in these types of business entities.

Florida asset protection law

Generally speaking, gifts are not attachable as well.

because AR-15 was popular to public and massacre can be occur with pistol too.

You started bought up about AR-15 to this thread.

Mass murders can also be done with poison too...no one remembers Jim Jones or any other space wack job cults that have killed members that way? I can also recall Japan having used poison in June of 1994...let's not make this a anti gun thread and keep it about the case for those that actually want to discuss the case....

Please re-read my edited post. Thank you.

Excuse me, I was point about some people support gun control laws, believe that Zimmerman should be acquitted on murder charge, including you.

I didn't mention about AR-15 in my post to Reba.

No surprise about you misguided my post. :ugh:

Feel free to believe what you want.

 it is written for you there in plain English. And it is commonly known, I didn't even have to look it up. Florida has great asset protection laws. Why do you think O.J. Moved to Florida???

You said that I support gun rights while you mean that I support gun control, right? Anyway, why did you bring it up? Why? It has nothing to do with this case. Therefore I pointed it out that an AR-15, the assault rifle was not involved. I support gun control so I shouldn't support GZ???? You are confused.

No, you misunderstood my post.

I disagreed with Reba about statement that anti-gun rights only believe that Zimmerman gave a bad taste to law abiding citizens, so I said some people support gun control laws, believe that Zimmerman wasn't guilty on murder charge. I used you as other example that support Zimmerman's case and support gun control laws. I support gun rights but I think Zimmerman gave a bad taste to gun group.

It has NOTHING with AR-15 in my post - not until you bought up.

The gun rights law and gun control law are separated group.

Updated: I corrected my previous post - changed from rights to control.

looks like Florida is a haven for criminals

:dunno: O.J. was found not guilty in his murder trial. So was George Zimmerman. :)

you asked "Why do you think O.J. Moved to Florida???" and that was my answer.

I'm bit disturbed by your :) because you seem to be happy about two murderers living in Florida as a "free man".

OJ isn't living in Florida as a free man. He is in Prison. But...not a Murderer. George Zimmerman was also found not guilty of murder.

A few of you talked about OJ. Oh, yeah, he was a murderer in my own eyes. There are millions of people in the world also knowing that he KILLED two people. Hopefully someday his kids will write a book about him truthfully after he dies. End of discussion.
