Reba is right. When if DoD finds his book violating a military law, they will sue the author and will possibly have all copies of his book to be removed from the stores by court order. So wait and see.

sue? no.... more like they will arrest him and charge him and imprison him.

No, they can't due to the author's contract. If they want to stop it, they must get a court order with a good reason.

um... author's contract doesn't mean squat if it comes to National Security. author's nondisclosure obligation with the g-man trumps everything.

so far.... 8 days has passed since the book has been released. nothing's going on. hmmmm.....

I don't think they can remove the books from stores. Besides, what would be the point? The information is in the public domain now. You can't lock the barn door after the horse escapes.

they have removed books from the stores in the past but the point is... they can block it.

U.S. officials reviewing copy of book that recounts Bin Laden raid - New York Daily News
In a letter released to The Associated Press, the group asked the Justice Department "to immediately seek...an injunction in federal court to prevent this book from being published and distributed" until it can be reviewed.

but yes - once it's out.... it's out and somebody's gonna get arrested for it.

so..... what did he leak? why weren't his books stopped by DoD?

In due time, Jiro, in due time we all will find out what he leaked.

Why are you asking me a stupid question! Ask DoD, not me!

I believe that DoD must get a court order from U.S. Supreme Court to stop book sales if that dept can show a good reason (evidence).

no. this does not fall under Supreme Court's juridiction to issue such injunction.

Since they didn't get the injunction, I'd say that it's not a given that they can stop books from being published.

You must have missed the part where it said that DoD has chose not to block it.

Simply replying to the logic of your statement, not what DoD chose to do or not do.

Ms. Payback is a bitch, ain't she.

Since Reba, Foxrac and Bottesini "liked" my post, I think you owe them an explanation especially Reba when you call heroes as traitors.

How long are you going to keep up with this childish "Payback" play? Have I refused to answer your question in this thread?
