High gas prices likely to effect holiday spending this year

hmm, I'm thankful for that 500 gallon fill-up then. Was only $2.30.

You got my point a crossed, the economy went down, more people out of work, less people able to afford travel during these times, right now economy somewhat picked up thus more people are going to travel this coming Thanksgiving... So, it is really based on law of supply and demand. Less demand, price will drop.

I didn't respond to your post....

Ours was lowered today for the weekend. It is now $3.01 99/100

Yeah I brought some gas today and was thinking about the cost of gas going up just before the biggest travel day of the year! Greed is alive and well!

Our gas price is about $1.23 per L at this time.

Gas price goes up before weekend begins every time.

Haven't heard any angry muttering about gas price from Aussies. Perhaps we're thankful it hasn't gone up to $1.50 like it did last year.

We just paid $1.34/l this morning, that's the highest I've seen for a while and I must admit the $1.50 from last year came to mind. I wonder if they'll try it again for the Christmas season. :hmm:

Oh right, must admit I didn't look at gas price today.
Yike, I hope it doesn't occur again this Christmas! We'll hear some angry rumblings if it does.

$3.08 this morning and expected to rise before the end of the week.
