Zounds Hearing Aids?

Has anyone heard of these people? I went into one of their stores, here is a picture:

The store was incredible, and the professionals there were very nice and helpful. Their hearing aids actually sounded nice... but they are the most hideous hearing aids out there - plus they arent custom-made. Here is what they look like:

They also arent comfortable and they stick out of your ear -it makes you look like you are wearing hearing aids from the 80s.
 
eeww! I would never get a Zounds! I'll stick with Phonak until I get a CI, thanks. wow those Zounds just look too uncomfortable and terrible.
 
I saw a post about Zounds before.. I would never go for Zounds .
 
Interesting! I never heard of them before. I can see why they are around especially with more and more folks needing some sort of amplification down the road if not already. Given the prices, it is sort of like the Walmart of HAs.

No, I wouldn't even be tempted if I could use a HA today. Too retro for my tastes and looks darn uncomfortable.
