Reporter Matt Gutman said the clearer video shows "what appear to be a pair of gashes or welts on George Zimmerman's head."

Neighborhood Watch volunteer Zimmerman has said he shot 17-year-old Trayvon in self-defense. The video shows Zimmerman arriving at the Sanford Police Department within an hour after the shooting.

Gutman said the video had been "clarified" by Forensic Protection Inc. Former FBI Special Agent Brad Garrett told ABC that the clearer video shows "marks on the back of Mr. Zimmerman's head."

and....

"I saw George. He was banged up. His head had two big bandages, that weren't flat, had a bump on them," the neighbor, who did not want to be identified, said.

He described where the injuries were.

"I seen him have a big bandage on his nose and his nose swollen. On the side, where his eyes were at, it was swollen," he said.

He points out exactly where on a picture.

"I seen the bandage right here, and this side of his nose and this side of his nose was swollen.
Neighbor defends George Zimmerman

This corroborates with a police report that he had an injuries to his head and nose (bloody nose) in the altercation. That report alone should've been enough. No reason for a police to put down incorrect information on purpose.

As for how it all went down before the shooting, that's up to the investigators to piece them all together.

Don't be surprised if that neighbor is part of the big conspiracy to cover up Zimmermans obvious murderous racism.

Yeah, I saw the video this AM....looked to be very big gashes in the back of his head...so it seems to me that Zimmerman was slammed to the ground...and wondering too, why they kept showing pixs of Martin as "a young kid", hence age wise, he is...but he's 6'2, and Zimmerman was stated to be 5'7....my belief it's all a "cover-up"...and the facts will come out, sooner or later.....

I do feel for Martin's family. They obviously loved their son, and he was dear to them and now he's gone. Of course they are angry. My heart aches for them. The inflammatory and dishonest media is not doing them any good, either.

Epic fail: NBC and the George Zimmerman/Trayvon Martin story « The Deacon's Bench

This second one just floors me. It is horrific dishonesty.
NBC told this blog today that it would investigate its handling of a piece on the “Today” show that ham-handedly abridged the conversation between George Zimmerman and a dispatcher in the moments before the death of Trayvon Martin. A statement from NBC:
“We have launched an internal investigation into the editorial process surrounding this particular story.”Great news right there. As exposed by Fox News and media watchdog site NewsBusters, the “Today” segment took this approach to a key part of the dispatcher call:
Zimmerman: This guy looks like he’s up to no good. He looks black.
Here’s how the actual conversation went down:
Zimmerman: This guy looks like he’s up to no good. Or he’s on drugs or something. It’s raining and he’s just walking around, looking about.
Dispatcher: OK, and this guy — is he black, white or Hispanic?
Zimmerman: He looks black.
The difference between what “Today” put on its air and the actual tape? Complete: In the “Today” version, Zimmerman volunteered that this person “looks black,” a sequence of events that would more readily paint Zimmerman as a racial profiler. In reality’s version, Zimmerman simply answered a question about the race of the person whom he was reporting to the police. Nothing prejudicial at all in responding to such an inquiry.

This is why I keep saying if we get our information from the media, then we really do not know much of anything. They lie.

both sides are going to be biased. media will slant a story to make it as sensational as possible to sell their media. the truth is always polluted.

I don't think I've seen a better case of irony like this. It's funny how you're saying media is a liar... and yet you believe this one...

this video was "enhanced" by media....
and both witness and funeral director were both interviewed by media...
none above were done by law enforcement agencies...

I'm wondering how much of digital enhancement this video had. The more it's digitally enhanced, the more plausible it is and probably the less credible it is.

I thought we were gonna wait and see on April 10th?

Jiro, the media itself is walking back their claims.
JustOneMinute: As The Trayvon Martin Walkbacks Threaten To Become A Stampede

One wonders how much damage the autopsy itself did to the body before it ever got to the funeral home director.
And the funeral home director's claims did not contradict Zimmerman's anyway. He said he got punched in the nose- that doesn't leave marks on the fists, and that then Marvin was slamming his head into the pavement. That leaves marks on the head, not on the hands of the slammer. Zimmerman never said there was a fist fight, did he?

Whether you believe the media's previous version or the new version, the point is they had two completely different versions. They can't both be true. Which would be why I keep saying we don't know anything but there's a dead boy, and that the media lies.

NBC has an agenda, and they made it quite apparent with this here dishonesty on reporting the 911 call not by verbatim.

To the bolded red - Having previously worked in an ER and also having had to tend to my brother who liked fist-fights, punching someone in the nose can and may cause bruising to the fighter's fist in the knuckle area. They can also appear to be bruised at times depending on the force of the punch.

Bolded orange - If the "slammer" was slamming the victim's head to the pavement, there can and may possibly be abrasions to the "slammers" knuckles. There may also be hair caught in the fingernails.

Zimmerman's hair wasn't even that long. Rather it's kind of short if you look at the police video.

hair. skin. blood. etc. and if Trayvon was slamming Zimmerman's head against pavement, it is possible for a trace of hair to be found under fingernail because one may be digging his nails into his skin and scratching it. you never know.

well I guess it is necessary for Kristina to spell it out for you. I suppose I should bring in my friend who was a forensics expert at NYC morgue.

Just as an FYI - my father always had his hair cut in a flat top, since his days in the Army (Korean Conflict). When my brother slammed his head into the wall, there was hair in my brother's fingernails that came from my father's head.

Also, there have been documented cases of when baby has head injuries from having it's head slammed, there is also trace amounts of hair from the baby in the accuser's fingernails.

Granted, always a possibility. So, if Zimmerman's head been slammed against the ground, the I suppose autopsy report may report their findings on what they've found under Trayvon's fingernails? I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Possible that Martin punched Zimmerman and knocked him to the ground, causing the head injury???....So no hair would be found under the nails?....Hence, the broken nose???.....

Perhaps, so. Maybe it was all self-inflicted? He tripped and fell? Or he did it on purpose? Who knows? We'll have to wait and see what the medical experts have to say.

This is why I keep saying if we get our information from the media, then we really do not know much of anything. They lie.

First it was ABC who reported on the police video as proof positive that Zimmerman suffered no injuries. And then we have NBC doctoring the 911 tapes by snipping the words out just to fit their narrative. Seems like it's all orchestrated simply to inflame and spread hate that would benefit Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson, and anybody else.

sounds like you're an expert in medical injuries.

Why do you make things up?

I don't believe anybody, not you, not kokonut actually knows what happened. I don't know if Martin was shot in gold blood by a crazed vigilante. I don't know if he was shot in self defense. I don't know if it was some complicated mix of circumstances. I don't know what happened. I do not even have an opinion one way or the other on what happened because I do not know and cannot at this point know what happened. What I do know is a boy is dead, his family are grieving, and the media is inflaming the situation with dishonest reports.

I do know that the media has been dishonest because, regardless of what actually happened, the media has contradicted itself more than once, and it obviously has an agenda. Therefore, no matter what really happened, we know that they lied. I know that it's possible that their agenda this time may fit the facts, but if it does, that is purely accidental.

I also know that saying something 'may' happen is not the same as saying it 'did' happen or always must happen or only ever happens

So far, we haven't seen proof of anything except that somebody is dead and the media is lying. The media part is what I can discuss, because that is something we are all witnessing, since they keep doing it.
