In an interview attempting to pin criminal wrongdoing onto the Texas House Walkouts, the Texas Republican Party chair later switched topics to low-income Texans. According to the story, she actually said

many low-income Texans could purchase their own health insurance and "maybe have a little less disposable income or a little less inheritance from Mom and Dad."

WTF? I'm sorry...this is BEYOND outragous!!!!!!!
Republicans really have NO idea what real-life is like for poor people or even middle class people!
My family's middle class but I can't even afford a new hearing aid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (one reason why I am trying to get SSI/Disabilty)
Why is it so damn difficult for them to part with a couple thousand dollars to help make the country a better place? (better schools, better roads etc) These aren't just moderately well-off people...these are people who have MILLIONS and BILLIONS of dollars! I can barely survive on a student budget but they are whining b/c they want another villa in France! ARGHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
why not get ss disablity income? :mrgreen: cuz SSDI is like they pay u more than SSI.. ;) but bad news is that if u don't have SSDI then it'll take u 6 months to get it

I am curious. If you had already got SSI then you decided to switch to SSDI. Would it take up to 6 months?

yeah cuz of long progess to get it ugh.. :roll: comparin to get ssi that I got 4 years ago to support myself and pay stupid rent but even tho I have part-time job but eh.. I know i'll be better off not gettin ssdi but ah.. :roll:
