Hey everybody;

Didn't post in here for long time. Im just coming back and want to dicussion about parents, children, babies, experience for that and experience for labor, pregnancy and birthing.

Since, Im pregnant for 28 weeks and two days so far. Im having a girl and Im very excited to having her soon, due is on June 1st, 2008. But, Im a single mother and my baby's father Ryan just escaped on us on November 2007 for no reasons. Also, he mentioned that Im cheating on him with Sequoias(which isnt true) and my other friend, Dan. I have a picture and will post in here..

And go ahead to dicussion about your experience and everything like that.

I am sorry that Ryan disappeared on you and your baby girl. :(

What kind of questions are you looking for? I would like to know so that I can answer your questions. I don't mind to answer. Or you can IM me on AIM to ask me any questions.

Important thing is take parental vitamins and eat healthy food...junk food is OK but not all the time. I just use my common sense what I eat so my kid like almost anything, not picky. Just a few yes but most of the time he'll eat it. :) And walk everyday also, and it'll make your labor go quicker. It would be vary on mama to be though.

For labor and delivery, what do you want? Do you want to get Edperial? (sp) A drug thru your IV? (don't remember name of it) Natural (means no drugs, vaginal birth) or C-section if have to due baby head isn't down or whatever what's the reason. For me, what I went thru was I didn't have drugs at all. Yes it was painful (back labor, that what I had) and I was too late to have some medication thru IV (that's what I chosen) but was in labor for 13 hours. And finally my big kid was born. :) C-section specialist said I don't need C-section and can use the forceps to take the baby out. So that does the trick! I pushed 3 hours, POOR ME! I was SO worn out. Hee! Sometimes dr put you on pitcon, FYI using that will start your contraction going on and PAINFUL than natural contraction. I can see the difference! I prefer natural cuz less painful but worth it!

Breastfeeding is awesome...so I suggest you try to breastfeed the baby. You'll be very sore (boobs) for few weeks. There is a cream that will sooth your nipples from being crack so bad. Your baby will be fed about 2 to 4 hours, so you can get an idea how sore your nipples will be! Here is the link for cream that you might need to get. Cream
You also can get breast pump if you have to go work or go somewhere, so your friend or family member can feed your baby while you are out.

awww congrats... also i am sowwy that ur ex left on both of u.. that is so wrong.. i am very sowwy.. but everyone will support u and ur baby girl.. :)
 
That's right WIC. I forgot about that! Also you may need to apply Medicaid to cover your parental care and hospital etc. You may need to apply WIC right away because they'll cover you and baby at same time. That's what I did when I was pregnant and used WIC so I can get milk to drink or cheese to eat etc etc.

Third, I'm very sorry to hear about the father of your unborn child left you both.

Monthly check with gyn.

Cream with oil lotion on your stomach to prevent from scretch....

I had a c-section with my first child after 38 hours labor and natural birth to my second child after 5 and half hours labor. I use no drugs for gave birth to my both sons.

Breastfeeding is the best recommendation...

Welcome back and I sure miss your post.

Anyway Like LT said and breastfeeding is the best cuz you get a chance to bond to your child and it was a good feeling.

I enjoy breastfeeding my son and easier too cuz it is always there. :giggle: Not have to worry about run out of formula.
Also not have to worry about go to the kitchen and warm up the bottle.

Collect the coupon for diaper and wipes or formula if needed. That stuffs is very expensive now then back in a few years ago.

If you know anyone who dont need the baby items ask them if you can take them. Or go to yahoo free cycle to see if there is a baby items that you can get for free save a bundle of $$$.

I am sorry to hear about Ryan. I know it is hard not having him there. Being a single mom is not easy but will get easier as the days go by. I have been single mom for over 6 yrs now. I love it. :D

WIC; thank you guys for suggest me. I could try that but let's see since I will live with my parents and family who would support me and my baby together.

I know that breastfeeding is best but one problem is; doctor might will say no because never know if baby is allergic to milk and my breasts that don't make enough milk because my breasts aren't getting any grow. It'd been same since before I got pregnant. If I can breastfeed to my baby, I would do it. So let's see what happen after birthing then. :)
 
Everyone are different with breasts....mine isn't grow till my son was born! And milk came few days after he was born. It's normal. It is depend also because if you are on medication and some medication can affect the milk and hurt the baby.

You can apply WIC, and only your own income. Do not count your parent's. It is not their business to know.

I was told if natural, 48 hours after baby born, c-section 3-4 days. So I stayed only 48 hours

oh got it... 40th week. It is depend on each mother to be. My original due date was Jan 29th (I think) but ultrasound measured the baby, and due date was February 11th so he was born on February 11th. Which means 40th weeks.

LOL dont worry about the breast size. Same thing happened to me and I still breastfeed my son. I enjoyed it every minute. :D Just try to relax and be positive and thing will go smooth for ya. :hug:

For my first one, I was upset cuz I was only 24 years old and a college student at the time. I thought I would have to quit college but I didnt.

For the second one, I was happy and nervous cuz I was 33 years old and a lot older! LOL!

First one, french fries cuz I had quit eating them for 5 years so it was like lost time needed to be made up for.

2nd one, no cravings.

Both were very active especially at the end

Labor;

When did you know when it's time for you to birth your baby?

First one, I thought it was false labor so I went to my 3 hour class at ASU and the pains continued to get worse but I thought it was just a bad day with cramping. It was 2 weeks before my due date.

2nd one, I threw up that morning and felt nauseous so I called in sick at work. Then I started getting the cramps so I called my hubby at work and he left work early to take me to the dr. Turned out that I had been in labor for a while.

Did it pain?

The first one, BIG time so I had to beg for epidural. I tried to go without it..forget it. When they took me off of the epidural so I could push, ooohhhiiiieeee..the pain was overwhelming. It was a shock to me.

The 2nd one, no pains but I took epidural just in case. Took me off from epidural, no pains at all so I probably didnt need epidural anyway. Oh well.

How long labor?

First one 18 hours

2nd one...we dont know cuz I had been feeling nauseous for 2 days so the doctors supsected that labor started the day before.

Did you get the medicine for your pain?(Sorry forgot what it called)

First one, my ex hubby, mom, and my best friend

Canal birth for both

How did you feel when you first met your baby?

With my daughter, I was shocked..like No way and I was very very shaky and weak from pushing for 2 hours. It was a difficult birth.

With my son, I was shocked that he came out so quick after 15 mins of pushing. I had expected to push for a long time and I was shocked by how white he was cuz my current hubby is dark dark black. LOL!

Yes, I was excited to hold them and that was the best part..holding both of them for the first time. Now, they wont let me hold them cuz my daughter is 11 and my son 2 1/2 . LOL!
How long did your baby and you have to stay in the hosptial before they let you guys go?


My daughter was very sick with a fever so we stayed for 3 days.

My son developed jaudice so we stayed for 2 days.

With my first son, I was thrown in a mix. I was having mixed feelings. Sure, I was excited but I was sooo nervous and unprepared. With my 2nd one, I also was excited but not ready either too because my oldest son was only 6 1/2 months old when I just had found out I was pregnant with my 2nd child LOL. But in the end, it worked just good.

First one - Creamy Style Corns.
Second one - Pizza
(I know, It's weird! LOL)

Was your baby very active or not?

Both of them were very active and it became uncomfortable to the near end because them kept poking their feet against my ribs.

Did you get pain from back or anything from pregnancy?

It wasn't bad with both boys until around the 8th month and that is when my lower back was starting to hurt.

When did you finally show that you're pregnant at?(Belly Bump)

With my first one, It started to show around like at 4 1/2 months and with the 2nd one, it started to become visible when I was around 5 months.

Labor;

When did you know when it's time for you to birth your baby?

Yes and No. The 1st one was planned for an induction and it was already scheduled.

The 2nd one was at a spur of the moment. What happened was, my 2nd son was planned for an induction but however, it happened the day before his scheduled induction. I was having lower back pain and every time my bladder was full, it would get to the point where my kidney area was hurting. So, I called the doctor to see what he had to say about it. He said for me to come in the hospital just in case. When I arrived at the hospital, the water was still intact but when he checked me up to see how far I was dilated. I was 5 cm dilated already and I didn't even feel any contractions or anything else at all except for the pain in the lower back. Also at the same time, the water broke when he checked me up.

Did it pain?

The 1st one was a breeze, had no problem. The 2nd one was a bit intense.

How long labor?

1st one - 8 hours.
2nd one - 7 hours.

Did you get the medicine for your pain?(Sorry forgot what it called)

Yes, I had epidural for both of my labors and also Demerol as well. Funny, the epidural and Demerol didn't even work for me when I had my 2nd child. So you could say, I had a "natural" birth with no drugs, hypothetically.

Who was there with you during you was in labor?

My ex husband, his mother and my mother.

Birthing;

What weeks at you was birthing your baby?

Nearly 41 weeks for both of them.

Was your baby at right due or early or late?

Both of them were 5 days overdue.

Did you get c-section or naturally?

Both of them were born vaginally.

How did you feel when you first met your baby?

it was amazing but at the same time, I was in awe and wondering how I could have fall in love with them the moment I laid my eyes on them.


How long did your baby and you have to stay in the hosptial before they let you guys go?

At both times, we were released after 2 days.
