Here is my look at it.  Signed ASL is what it is, with its own gramer system, but if your going to learn to write, in english, then why not learn to write so people can understand you?  I have no idea what  "do do" means.  I look at bullymom's sig and  Begans Assimilate You....  For someone that does not know asl they are going to look at that and go wtf.  There is no writen language for asl as there is already an english writen language.  It benifits me to learn asl as it benifits deaf people to learn writen english so that we can all comunicate better.
