Like chorography or singer or song writer..whatever that is in music business?? I would let my kids go into music business if they wanted to. I would make their dreams come true by helping them out and etc. :)

The kids should be allowed to express themselves and invest their creativity into music.

It's art.

NO! I rather have my kids become doctors and CEO, thats more interesting and I never was fond of music for the most obvious reasons

all i want is for my kids to be happy and whatever they want to be i will support them. i may not like some job reasonablity but i would support them as long as they are happy with what they want to endevor, As for saying no to music and telling them to be drs or ceo as more intresting, thats like restricting ur kids to limit thier creativity, the best thing they can be is going beyond thier limits and being happy in what they chose to be and getting supports from the family!

If my kids wanted to go into the music business, I'd let him. If my kids were deaf, I'd seriously talk to them and make sure they know what they are doing.

at least, you have to help the children to think about it to make sure he or she really really want to be famous musician.

When I was kid, I always want to be baseball player when I was only in Junior. I realized that it's not my life to play baseball and discover what I actually want to be.

Sure I will let my children Join music if they wanted to... whatever makes them happy...

At the childhood, parents will have spend lot of $$$ on equiptment if necessary. If any kids just simple want to be singer - great! no worry, mate!

Absolutely, my older son always desires to be a musical since he was little kid! If he really wants to be. I do respect his wishes. I do still encourage him to entrol College. He would love to move to Wales, England to study in Philology and musical.

why not Juilliard?

i wouldn't let him be involved with music.. right now my son loves music.. ahhh.. but that's good he likes it.. but have a job related to music business i pray he wouldn't do that.. i agree with cricket.. kids should be richer than their parents.. :D like be a doctor, CEO, president, etc..

personally.. i'm hoping my son becomes professional football player.. :P

this summer he's gonna be 2.. that's when i'm gonna teach him football.. and when he turns 3.. he's gonna join toddlers football leguge :D

 at some of the comments. I wouldn't care about money.. or kids being richer than the parents.. so what. They should do what they want to do if it makes them happy. Going against what they would like to do and expecting them to do other things like doctor, CEO, etc.. they wouldnt be happy being either one of that. I noticed a lot of people who gets major for something their parents expect them to have.. and they dont feel happy with it and want to decide and do their own dreams not parent's dreams. Sure, I have a lot of expectations for my kids but if they want to do something that isn't what I expect, and it makes them happy, then that's fine with me. Their happiness in what they do is important to me as long as they keep up with their education and etc. If they wanted to go into music business, thats fine with me as long as its really what they want to do and happy..
