I would rather train my own pet because many of the places would not approve for hearing dogs and some of pets you can't have it because it was not trainable according to them.. such as my old pet Doberman is consider not a hearing ear dog.. I had to laugh because Lincoln knew I was deaf and He was practically trained himself to let me know what's going on.. phone, doorbell etc He let me know! im like whoa you knew Im deaf ?? COOL !ya know...Wendy
