Thought this might be fascinating for you guys. I know that WWI is often seen as "pointless and indecisive war". However it caused the direct downfall of three empires, the indirect fall of a third (Russia), and arguably accelerated the end of British Empire and European colonial power. That seems pretty decisive to me...
